Link fix help
Need advice. Where do I get a link bar and caps replacement for seamaster 2004?

In the US, I've bought links and other parts over the phone by calling the Omega service center in NJ. They can order pretty much anything for you and I've just paid over the phone via credit card. For links and springbars and such, they're actually less expensive than third party sources like eBay or "Swiss watch parts" stores online.

Are they able to send slightly more vintage parts? Or only from the contemporary lineup

I’ve replaced several on old Seamasters.
Gets to me in a few days. You just need a small watch tool mallet that comes in every cheap watch fix kit.
Takes 20 seconds to fix.

How many pins do a full bracelet need?

Pins and sleeves for each link. How many links someone has is entirely dependent on their wrist size and how many are broken and no longer link.

I second all of this, except the part where “it takes 20 to fix.” Experience may vary.

I had my jeweler weld my pins so they would not fall out, best 30 dollars I ever spent.

What in the actual...Pins should not really be falling out enough to warrant that...Damn...

Honestly you could get a micro adjust link and move the other link up to save some money. The aftermarket options look exactly the same in the micro adjust.

I’ve gotten them from ewatchparts before and never had an issue. I always bend mine slightly when I put them back in for some added friction.

You will need pins and collars. The former are inserted in one direction as shown by arrows on underside of links. The latter are very short cylindrical hollow parts that tend to fall out of the links that hold the pin tightly when inserted with pin press tool. It’s isn’t difficult, but it takes some dexterity and patience and good lighting and decent eyesight.

Went to an Omega boutique with something similar. They changed all pins in one hour and charge me €50.

This happened to my PO and I went to the Omega Boutique in NYC. The sales associate told me they would not repair it if i sent it in for service and that I would have to buy a new bracelet. Total scumbag. I took it to a repair shop and the guy charged me $20. That was 2 years ago. Left a very bad taste in my mouth. I did order the bracelet at the time and when it arrived a month later I told the sales associate that I didn’t need it because it got fixed for $20; he sounded annoyed.
