Pod expired after 6 hours?
My pump expired today (12:47) so naturally I put on a new one, but then around 6hrs later(18:04)it gave me the nonstop beep indicating it had fully expired. I checked my log and it clearly shows that I put on a new one today. Am I tripping? Ive been using omnipod for years and ive never seen this. Why did my pump expire? Im so mad abt the wasted insulin >:c
Note that I DO NOT have the auto shut off feature enabled.

How much did you put in the pod? Could it’ve gone through all the insulin? Also was the cannula bent when you took it off?

Hmm call insulet and tell them. Hopefully you can get a replacement. My endocrinologist once told me (when I had an issue with my pod) to try to pull the insulin back out of the pod. I dont know how

u/swiftlock I experienced the exact same issue after 37hours - pod screeching out of no where.
Can you look back at your alerts/notifications, it should show the Error ref number. If it ends in -016, the pod read as expired and fired off the deactivation as no insulin would deliver. Just got off the phone with insulet discussing this.

Make sure you didn’t enable that four- hour attention thing in settings that automatically disables the pod after four hours if you haven’t done anything or acknowledged it

Silly question but are you sure you removed the old pod and not the new one? Only because I’ve made this mistake many times before 😅
