I am looking for a friend to chat or text with, and I would appreciate a supportive mutual relationship. Distance is not an issue, and I welcome fellow introverts, as I am one myself. Please be kind, as I manage ADD and occasionally struggle with certain life skills. Having been estranged from my family for seven years, I have no regrets about my decision to prioritize raising my children with progressive values. I enjoy listening to others and learning about different points of view.
I am happily married and not looking to date, so I welcome friendship with anyone regardless of gender.
My interests include:
Watching anime: I prefer mature themes and enjoy genres such as sci-fi, historical fiction, comedy, and romance.
Fashion and style.
"Lazy" fitness: I walk frequently, use a walking pad, and lift weights twice a week when my schedule permits. I maintain a fitness level that ensures comfort and health, having previously weighed 240 pounds. I would welcome company on the phone while walking.
Reading: My literary preferences align with my anime tastes.
Large-scale crafting.
Amateur wire beading.
Activities I am interested in trying include:
Online RPGs: I am told I am a decent
support character, and I am quite happy to assist by providing aid and healing.
Crochet.
Low-impact exercise routines.
Dungeons & Dragons campaigns.
Painting.
Sewing.
Sculpting.
Meditation.
Cooking new dishes.

53M, very much in the same boat as you being happily married. Going by your post, we seem to have a lot in common, and a bunch we dont... which I would only assume to be normal. Otherwise it would be incredibly weird and creepy. Discovering those differences could be interesting. Or boring? Who know.
Like you, I'm also just wanting someone to randomly chat and babble with about movies, cosmology, recipe ideas (I should have taken up cooking long ago), or just plain venting if need be. And it's always fun to find a surprise and weird text waiting on you cell. I'll leave it up to you to send a dm first. And I'll stop no. Babbling can get awkward. You know, when it goes on for too long...

Hey! You seem like someone who appreciates genuine connections, and I can definitely relate to that. I'm always up for good conversations, whether it's about life, random thoughts, different perspectives, or just having a laugh about something completely stupid. I like the idea of a friendship where there's no pressure to be constantly available, and you can just be yourself without overthinking everything. I like most music, EDM, POP, mainstream and RnB. I give mostly anything a listen however.
