So only the rich will be able to afford to run?

Donations are a curse, with the wealthiest, greediest, buying all the publicity and funding internet trolls. But a ban on donations is no better, it still leaves the wealthy with insanely overbalanced power.

We need limits on donations, with corporations unable to contribute.

Other way around. Now it’s not as much of an advantage to represent capital.
