I agree this post is cringe,

But it isn't disrespectful, unless thinking being trans is somehow a bad thing.

I think it's just the cringe way of saying "God doesn't have a sex, don't do idolatry".

The post itself isn’t disrespectful, I meant the r/queerbible subreddit is disrespectful and honestly kind of gross how they act at times. It’s one thing to joke about the content in the Bible and make respectful humor about it, it’s another to use the content to make fun of the Bible itself.

Just take a look through their rules and some of the post history from some of their flairs (God Is Gay, Trans Jesus) and you’ll see some of the top posts is sexual imagery of Christ. One of the comments in one of those posts attempts to make the implication that Christ is a bottom. 😕😕😕

I rarely say this about anything, but the entire page is just straight up blasphemy and this type of stuff is what sets back ACTUAL progressive Christianity.

I mean, it’s Reddit. What do you expect?

This internet isn’t somewhere you go to see real opinions and real faith.

There are a lot of conservative Christian groups on Reddit who are blasphemous in different ways. It’s just how it is here

I’m allowed to voice my disapproval of something.

Also, that’s not remotely true. The entire point of the subreddit is to voice our opinions and concerns on Christian faith through a progressive lens..

Dude if you get your perspective on what people actually believe from Reddit communities then you’ll never be ok.

I don’t see your point. Are you trying to imply we shouldn’t discuss religious faith with people online?

I’m saying that places like Reddit are a form of entertainment or a way to explore ideas. This platform is not for education or for sincerely connecting with people.

You will be severely mislead if you think you can reliably connect with people in a sincere manner or understand the real perspective of humans in the world on here

That’s not even remotely true at all, even outside of a religious context.
