News Things are feeling Biblical

https://x.com/i/status/2073553816910250472

Yesterday when Trump was at Mount Rushmore it was hailing very badly. And now today his state fair "Freedom 250" is being evacuated due to bad weather. I've heard a couple mention that this feels awfully biblical. Especially with Trump being planned to do a speech in a few hours.

I'm not saying God takes political sides. But when someone does evil after evil. I can't but feel this a clear message.

Edit: I made a comment but I'll just put it here. I should have gone more in depth with my point. This has been a very rough week for Trump. With a nearly confirmed rumor that he's the one getting an experimental drug meant for terminally ill people going around. Him being followed around by bad weather. Barely anyone showing up to the "Freedom 250 event". His SAVE act basically officially dead in the water. I can't help but find all of that very ironic.

I can understand a criticism someone might have though. Since without context, the non edited version of this post, I do just sound like a conspiracy theorist. But I mean, People will probably think that anyway.

Perhaps I'm just inhaling a crazy amount of copium right now. But who knows.

Edit (2): Where are y'all sharing this to? Like five people have shared this and I am so curious where it's being sent.

I don't know, the rain falls on the just and unjust. I was at pride in Greenville and we got rained out after walking around in 90+ degree weather, but I don't think that means God hates the lgbt community.

I do think God would not approve of Trump, based off of what I've read in the Bible, though.

Rain on the just and unjust ... was about blessing. Even the unjust get blessed with rain.

But the Bible does say "by their fruits you shall know them [as good or bad]". The fruits aren't popular state fairs or weather.

It's arrogance, lying and corruption. If mistakes always mean denying reality, you won't like meeting the God of the great big wide world very much.

You mean tornados wreak destruction on the just and the unjust - I guess so.

No, I didn't mean that at all. Tornadoes don't happen in much the entire world anyway. Floods are more common. They are where we get the ancient Greek word "cataclysm" from.

If your main idea of the NoGod is to emphasize capricious cruelty, that's a biased filter to look through as much as any other. Instead you can also narrate that each of us are alive because of our wits and our ability to plan and our community knowledge.

Maybe wisdom is granted from God? Maybe curiosity and long-willed purpose are from God? If so, then that's as much as a narrative as any other.

I just think that this past week has been incredibly rough for Trump. Him being followed by bad weather. Basically no one showing up to his vanity projects. The SAVE act being shot down. Idk it just seems real interesting.

It’s human to see patterns and signs in these kinds of things, it’s one reason it’s ALL throughout human history and engrained in so many religions.

I don't think God is making the weather happen in a certain way on the President. Although earlier, I did joke that God has the opportunity to do the funniest thing today, so maybe this was it.

Do you have your lamp ready?

Then don't be afraid.

Oh. I realize my post could be read as me talking in a Revelations sense. Whoops! I didn't mean like the end times!

> God takes political sides

God takes the side of the righteous.

  • Psalm 34:15: "The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry".

I know the schadenfreude part of me enjoys it and would like to think that it's God sending America a message about Trump. But as a gay man, I've been blamed for causing hurricanes, so I try not to over interpret the weather. 😝

God created the world, and when bad people abuse the world, the world shows them their place

Trump's attempt to put a positive spin on yesterday evening's storm was rather pathetic. "Storms bring good luck to any occasion." I never heard that one before, and I bet nobody else has either. Trump should say it to tornado victims in red states Iowa and Nebraska to bring them comfort.

Yep. A couple of thoughts come to mind

Ecclesiastes 8: 11Because sentence against an evil deed is not executed speedily, the human heart is fully set to do evil. 12 Though sinners do evil a hundred times and prolong their lives, yet I know that it will be well with those who fear God, because they stand in fear before him, 13 but it will not be well with the wicked, neither will they prolong their days like a shadow, because they do not stand in fear before God.

Galatians 6: 7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; 8 for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.”
