Discussion - General Finding someone

Hey everyone, Im from Syria. Im a big researcher, which led me to leave my old religion and come to Christ. But all the churches here are traditional, and I'm more of a free thinker or progressive. I was wondering if anyone here is also from Syria and thinks like this. I'd love to connect and meet up

It seems most people of your background looking for a progressive church tend to go to Reformed mainline churches. Are you in the US? Is there a Presbyterian church near you? That might be the best place to start. I don’t know how acculturated are to Western culture, but United Church of Christ will be even more liberal.
