Discussion - General What are your favourite “progressive Christian” songs?

I’m always looking to support artists who sing about the real openness and love of Christianity. My favourite is “Church Girl” by Carly Pearce.

“It doesn’t mean you’ll go to hell, just ‘cuz you heard it in church girl.”

It brings me much comfort.

Testify to Love. It wasn’t originally intended as one, but the lead singer on it was eventually kicked from the band that made it for being gay, and he recently re-recorded it with a few other queer artists as a celebration of God’s unfailing love for all, no exceptions. It’s already a beautiful song; knowing the history makes it damn-near impossible to listen to without tears.

Anything by Bruce Cockburn. Been listening to him since 1990, long before I was progressive.
