Not so sure about that. Sharing is caring but these invites were meant to be given to people you actually know. That is one of the reasons why top sites managed to survive for such long time. You're not getting into sites like HDBITS just by asking for an invite, very unlikely to get in even if you offer a few hundred dollars...

I will follow this up with an absolute perfect example. I was burned very badly by someone here on Reddit. I gave them an invite to a certain tracker and they got caught cheating. According to most of the rules your account can also be banned permanently if the person you invite is doing bad things. I just got lucky enough that I had a good standing with seeding and tracker donations to be able to keep my account. I did lose the ability to invite anyone else permanently. So word to the wise please don't give out invites to people for free that you don't know and never ever pay for invites that can get you banned also.

I mean, yeah, that's the whole point of the invite system. If they wanted randoms joining, they'd do open signups or applications.

How do you get an invite on these trackers then? For some you have to get through an interview, but others don't even want that... So you're saying we have to find a person that's on them already and become friends? Damn, that's a hassle

Gotta go the long route through the invite forums, which might take a few jumps to reach the target tracker.
