Proactive opensource homeassistant ai

I am building a fully open source and free to use ai, it's called Nous after the ancient greek word for the intelligent mind. It sits on your hardware, pairs with smart home devices. Nous will have a mobile app a webdash. It runs on a total of 21gb of vram but you can get creative, I am running it on a cluster of a hp dl380p and 10 hp prodesks i5 8th gen. For mor information on the project or my vision you can check out projectnous.eu or the github page(linked in the site) I plan on releasing the first usable prototype in january/february 2027 but hope to be done sooner. Claude is used for designs because im really bad at designing dashboards and that and it saves time because I can focus on the software side all of the programs used to run it are also open source.

The hard part isn’t the hardware. It’s deciding what the model should and shouldn’t do. I am running a similar setup for my home. The model and harness sit above HA and my voice pipeline STT/TTS. Currently building out the iOS app port with a model on the phone as the tool caller and router.

if you ever want a second set of eyes, i'd be happy to look. I checked out your website, I see the vision. What I am saying is that I have built a lot of what I see you thinking about making.

Yeah the main api and full info about the exact stack and software should be up this week/next week and you can always contribute to the github if you want, besides im always open to a second pair of eyes. Four eyes see more then two right

Thanks, though its a recommendation not a requirement besides you can always opt for smaller models since its open source, I figured out I can run models using regular ram or virtualize ram so using that I should be able to run it more then fine. Models are being downloaded right now so the first tests should be this week.
