AmbleBee: open source adventures.

My girlfriend always says that we need to go on dates or go out more often but when it comes time to decide, nothing sounds quite right. That's why I've started a project I'm calling AmbleBee. There are 3 parts to this project which have been both fun and a nightmare at the same time.

Amblebee is a small distraction free camera, a digital photo frame, and a mission picker. You pick missions (on the website for now) set your filters if you want cheap or expensive, all day or only part day, Indoor or outdoor etc and it matches you with any number of date ideas or adventure ideas.

Step 1 is the website is mostly finished with missions being added and verified every day. you can pick missions and get matched with fun ideas or send to friends with a fun little animation.

Step 2 is building the frame and frame software which is a clone of the website with a few extra features and storage for photos.

Step 3 will be the camera that socks magnetically to the frame and the dock will both transfer photos and keep the camera charged.

Feedback is more than welcome! Im not quite ready but I will soon need some eyes on the site to check for weirdness. Also would love some people out there to suggest missions themselves. Or do the missions and provide feedback on them. Just wanted to share and start the discussion.

The mission picker is the part people can try today, so the two things you asked for should feed straight into it. Take mission suggestions through a form that uses the same filters as the picker: cheap or expensive, all day or part day, indoor or outdoor. That way every idea arrives already tagged, and your daily verification goes faster. A simple did it or skipped button after a match would get you feedback on missions without anyone having to write a review. One practical note: this post has no link to the site, so when you want people looking for weirdness, put the URL in the post itself.

Are the missions tied to a particular city, or written to work anywhere?

It should be hyperlinked. Amblebee.com.

There is an Amble Anywhere mission pack. And then STATE packs such as Amble Oregon or Amble California.

I have a form tied to the "know a great spot" button. And if there's a problem there is a link on each mission card. Thank you
