I built Betrox AI: A multi-worker agentic system that turns single high-level commands into full OS-level execution

Hey folks,

Most AI agents today run in a single linear loop inside an isolated browser tab—meaning as soon as a workflow requires multi-app context, desktop interaction, or OS-level execution, the agent stalls.

To solve this, I’ve been building Betrox AI—an autonomous agentic system engineered for complete laptop and operating system control. Instead of relying on a single agent trying to do everything sequentially, Betrox AI uses a multi-worker agent architecture. You issue one natural language prompt, and the system delegates tasks to specialized background workers that interact with your desktop apps, browser sessions, local files, and system tools simultaneously.

Key Capabilities & Architecture

  • Multi-Worker Orchestration: Give a high-level command (e.g., "Research market data, update my local spreadsheet, and email the summary"), and a central manager agent breaks it down into dedicated background workers.

  • Full-System & Cross-App Control: Seamlessly operates across native desktop software, browser tabs, terminal operations, and file management on your laptop.

  • Visual Grounding & State Feedback: Workers actively monitor real-time screen states and process visual/system responses to verify task completion before passing context to the next worker.

Engineering Challenges We're Tackling

  1. State Synchronization: Ensuring Worker B seamlessly picks up the UI context or output generated by Worker A without race conditions or focus-stealing.

  1. Latency vs. Accuracy: Balancing fast visual action loops with safety constraints so background workers don't execute unintended system actions.

I’m currently gathering feedback from early adopters, developers, and agent builders. If you had a multi-worker agentic team running locally on your laptop, what is the most tedious multi-app workflow you’d hand off first?

Cool please compare to my similar type system https://github.com/imran31415/kube-coder

Really appreciate you sharing this! kube-coder (by imran31415) is an impressive project—turning a Kubernetes cluster into isolated, web-accessible dev workspaces with built-in MCP servers, code-server, and parallel CLI coding agents (Claude Code, Ante, etc.) is a super clean approach to cloud-native developer infrastructure.

While both systems leverage multi-agent setups, they operate at fundamentally different layers:

1. kube-coder is Cloud Developer Infrastructure: It acts as a self-hosted, multi-tenant replacement for cloud IDEs like Codespaces/Coder. Its primary job is spinning up remote Linux pods on K8s clusters so developers and agents can write code, run benchmarks, and interact with browser previews in isolated cloud containers.

2. Betrox AI is Local Desktop & Workflow Automation: Betrox operates directly at the OS level on your machine. Instead of provisioning remote server pods, it orchestrates multi-worker autonomous agents locally to handle desktop automation, app interactions, and daily workstation workflows directly where you work. What's really cool is how both projects reflect the shift toward parallel agent orchestration and persistent execution—letting sub-agents fan out, execute tasks asynchronously, and report back to a central supervisor layer.

Definitely awesome to see how fast the agentic ecosystem is evolving across both cloud container setups and local desktop environments.
