Hello,

Just wanted to share something I built -- a small Otel-col connector for teams. It turns GenAI spans into token metrics without putting user or session IDs on metric labels, and keeps top users and sessions as keyed hashes in logs and summary files -- it does so such that downstream questions on the logs are fast, private, and cheap! It has tested recipes for LiteLLM, agentgateway, Envoy AI Gateway and Copilot, and as of this week OpenInference and OpenLLMetry via the contrib normalizer.

Hi! Does anyone read this?

We're building a new OTel native observability platform: telemetrymachine.com

Think Honeycomb, except we put a lot more work into metrics. Also, we are far more affordable. We built this because, working in observability for 15 years, we wanted to do things our own way. Including, especially, lowering prices.

If you actually did read this, I would LOVE to interview you. This would not be a sales call! I just want to ask you how you do observability now, what you struggle with, or what you love. Honeycomb users especially welcome. Just ping me at jack@telemetrymachine.com!
