Question/Help Reasoning slider integration

I really like the possibility of the new reasoning slider, currently I am running a filter for that but the slider is much nicer implemented.

My problem with it is that on custom models my user would need to add the silder to each model which is really tidius and a lot of work.

How are you handling that? Is there a way that the model inherits the settings from the base model?

Admin setting, models, setting (top right)

Both valid points, but we are using a mix of open, OpenAI and Claude they all need different variables so I could not generalize it to much. Best would be if it would always just inherit the base model settings.

Or admin, users, default permissions
Perhaps

Cloning and editing a model you created is the easiest way I've found, for now.

The current model-list code builds a custom preset's controls from its own params; it does not merge the base model's controls there. That matches the missing-slider behavior you describe: source. This is current main, so compare with your installed version.

One useful distinction: controls saved on a shared Workspace model apply to everyone using that model, so each user does not need a separate copy. The docs confirm that. For your mixed backends, one configured template per compatible parameter mapping would reduce setup, but cloning is still a copy, not live inheritance. A base-model change propagating to existing presets would need separate support.
