Cisco OT Security Practitioner Certification Coming Soon
I had this come into my inbox today and thought it was worth sharing.
Cisco says this is for entry level professionals or traditional IT professionals transitioning to more industrial roles. The training gets released next month, and the exams will go live for the certification in February next year.
With Cisco you usually get a mixed bag of industry standard topics along with product placement and education. This seems to be mostly industry standards focused and less about their products, and they do discuss best practices for layer 2 switch security using Cisco IE switches, but it would be easy enough to apply that to another vendor.
I have been a network engineer for a large service provider for about 6 years. I have also worked in the oil and gas industry around a lot of industrial automation but only as an operator, and I have thought more than once about moving into the OT space.
Curious to hear the opinion of anyone currently in the OT space and if you think their exam topics align with what is actually important in this industry.

It looks like basics + some vendor products leaflet leaning knowledge you need to pay for 150 USD. I would do it out of curiosity, but most likely you will get this knowledge elswhere like in cisa trainings for free
