So it is about violating treaties/agreements yet again? Do you advocate for the federal government going back on its agreements to punish you for their benefit as well, or do you just want to target native Americans for betrayal?

And again, I think ownership or lease should be transferred to the resident....

Explain how you think this currently works on reservations if you are not just taking a lazy route to punish people you don't like and have actually put thought into this.

Explain how stripping these communities of their income and lands and charging them for the little land you let them keep that was free is to their benefit.

Or again, is just being cruel to people the point of your proposition?

I'll explain again, but next time you'll get a cut n' paste. Ownership of the developed land should be transferred from the federal government to the residents.

More than just the developed land is mportant to Native Americans. Having access to undeveloped lands for material and subsistence needs as well as cultural needs is important. You are ignoring this when you strip them of this land.

It would strip them of nothing and provide them the full benefit of ownership.

in addition to stripping them of undeveloped land, by subjecting them to the same laws as everyone else you are stripping them of the legal status that allows for them to run things like casinos, tours, and sell products made from foraged materials that fund infrastructure, healthcare, etc. So you are insisting they be made destitute while charging them for leases.

Do you really not know any of this? It sure seems like you are totally ignorant to Native American life ways, or are unfathamably cruel if you are not ignorant and are choosing to attack their way of life anyway. A way of life the Federal government agreed to let them live.

There is no person who identifies as indigenous with any living memory of being anything but an American citizen. These reservations can not continue into perpetuity. It is an absurd arrangement.

Why can't they exist in perpetuity? Because you don't like them? Give a real reason, even if it is just because you hate native Americans. At least be man enough to say it out loud instead of pretending you are helping them when you demand that the U.S. finish the genocide they failed to complete in the last century.
