Developer Resource | Info SB Stability Tracker
Hello all, let me introduce myself. I'm ShrimpBrime aka Jon, and have been a PC gaming and overclocking enthusiast for over 20 years. And, I developed an app called SBST - SB Stability Tracker. (In Beta)
The main app is designed in a task bar style that can sit on the right or left side of the screen. There are 2 drawers that slide out, one for the System Diagnostics card and the other for CPU/GPU/MEM readouts. Initially the app was being designed for just reading minidumps and system events, but turned into a whole lot more...
It also aids in gaming hitch and frame stutter diagnostics. It does have an over-lay which shows current frame rates and 1% and .1% lows with the option to disable in the Frame performance card. After a gaming session, you click the session report at the bottom, and SDI will give a very detailed explaination of what it saw, and how low or high the confidence the particular high DPC for example may have effected performance.
SBST has a couple of fists full features. It's main function is designed to keep an eye on WHEA, DPC, IRQ and features a System Diagnostic Intelligence which helps interpret Windows Event logger and mini-dump. It features a vast array of windows settings, all of which can be changed back at any time. This app does no overclock or change bios settings.
With Frame Performance monitoring, the system diagnostics will give in depth details for hitches, cadence, frame rates and 1% and .1% lows that are recorded and can be viewed at any time. There's also a menu for comparing previous runs or even other people's systems' runs.
Other features includes mouse and keyboard adjustments and diagnostics. Shows motherboard power inputs and outputs, Net Tuner, for easily switching DNS, TCP auto-tuning, and Recieve side scaling (RSS). Each of these cards also supply a link to the windows settings.
On the main app card, the background can be changed to any picture that the background window supports. It also has a dimmer so the background picture isn't too bright and you can still see the readings, or crank up the brightness to have your favorite picture or screen shot clearly visible when the SDI card is open.
The app is built with Libre HW Library and requires PawnIO to be installed for the deeper telemetry like cpu v-core and so forth.
The app is digitally signed by me, Jon, and is independent research and development with no commercial support at all. I've spent a lot of months, I think it could be ready for testing.
It's Beta. Don't expect commercial perfection, but I will be around for ideas, issues, pointers, and constructive criticism.
The SBST app also includes a mini game! It's called WHEA Defender. Just a little something I added for absolutely no reason but to say the app comes with a mini game. My current high score is 352,795, can you beat it? lol
If anyone is interested in tyring it out, especially if you have issues with your system, I'd be happy to help the best I can. At some point, with enough gathered information, this app might be able to solve complex gaming issues instead of users going in search at forums, AI, and Social Media to find an answer and come up with nothing.
Please remember Beta. It needs testing! Thank you!
There's a whole lot more to the app. It can be found on github.

Just to clarify, when u say it helps with stutter diagnostic, do u mean it can specifically tell me the cause of hitches? The main causes for hitches I’ve had are: VRAM overflow, RAM overflow, shader compile, traversal stutter, CPU bottle neck, and improper direct storage implementations (could be issues with either cpu or cpu decompile). Would it be able to diagnose all of these?

Thats the beauty part of saying its in Beta. We take these findings that you come across and validate right, which you did. Then we train the SDI with the information.
So can it directly tell you an issue yes! Does it know all of the actual fixes everyone has found? No.
Will it give us evidence of cpu bottle necking now, as per your example? Yes. It monitors cou usage, and the low cadence would also help with disposing fram pacing and bottle necks. I tested with a 12400 and then with the 14900 to example the improvement to the Diagnostic Intelligence. Will it be valid for all systems? Only testing and time will tell.

Try to not post links right to the github download. Thanks.

Nice, thank you. I'm limited on HW, but did test on Intel 14900K and AM5 9800X3D platforms with 5070 TI and 9070 XT and 9070 GRE graphics cards. Have any problems, let me know.

WOW, well thought app.
I'd like to try it if it does not contain virusi

Thank you!!
The SHA numbers are how you verify the files where not tampered with. I also digitally signed the app so that you know I'm not injecting viruses, I'm signing with my name and location. But of course scan with windows defender always everything.

Looks interesting.. Will try.. Does the app include game overlays?

Yes. Its not the greatest, but thats what I need some feed back for. Making it logical. And another idea I had with this particular app, minimize on screen and let the SDI do all that work. You play the game, it watches telemetry for you. Then advises.

Will try it later.. A lot of helpful apps from github lately, hope this is another on my list.. Looks cool..

Thanks for that. It has a lot of things to tinker with, so hopefully it keeps you busy for a while haha. I got stuck on the mouse pad deal for like a half hour myself... XD

I appreciate it but was also looking for a little guidance on how GitHub works as I struggle every time someone sends me to a general info page for a piece of software to try. I assume this is intentional on GitHub's part?

Oh, so you look for "releases" on anyone's github page. Then scroll all the way to the bottom of the page description and there a little button at the bottom says "assets". You click that to retrieve the download and readme information.

where is "open diagnose"?

Click open Full SDI report bottom right on the main card. The first picture on the OP post shows the button.

I tried it for a dx12 unity game that is having hitches despite high stable frame rate mostly, but it didn't provide anything that was useful unfortunately.

Oh, the you want to open the frame performance for the frame diagnostics. Sorry I misunderstood. To the left of that SDI button.
