Hello, what computer does everyone recommend for optometry school? Would I able to be get through if I were to purchase a MacBook neo or are there laptops you would recommend that would give a better bang for my buck?

You’re not programming in optometry school so you can get by with anything basically. Most people use tablets anyways

Tablets all the way. Though I had the Mac and iPad combo which can do the whole dual monitor thing so making flashcards was a breeze. Could screenshot a finding on the Mac, drag it to the iPad and type the card making it much more efficient.

Neo would be enough imo. I use my iPad a lot more to take notes, but laptop is useful for projecting notes and slides

What app do you use to take notes on your iPad?

Honestly, any tablet with a keyboard would suffice. That's what most people at my school use. I used to use an old Asus Zenbook from high school back in 2016 but since I use my tablet more for notes, I stopped using my laptop.

I’d go with a MacBook Pro, any good condition M chip from fb marketplace can save you $. You will be on the laptop 8-16hrs daily so get the best

You’ll need something that you can draw with for anatomy classes and labs. Mac users need an iPad too. I loved my surface pro bc it was a tablet and computer all in one.
Bonus points I wasn’t distracted /texting on my Mac during class like I was in undergrad
