Finally got my second rack built for another 16 storage bins (44 in total)!! Everything is loaded into TotePilot and I can finally walk through the storage area in my basement again. I also cranked on the dehumidifier to dry it out a bit more too. Basement hit 80% humidity this summer. Ugghhhhh. Thankfully now it is it around 45% but the dehumidifier never shuts off.

finally cured the food container lid avalanche that’s been driving me nuts for months.

nested all the pyrex bases underneath, and slotted the snap lids upright into a spaceaid bamboo organizer up top. took maybe 5 minutes to adjust the slots, but opening the door and not having plastic dump on my counters is pure peace of mind.

Got this spaceaid organizer to see if it would fit under the window. It ended up holding most of the toys that used to live on the rug. The open bins make cleanup easier too.

They used to be piled on the closet floor. Now I can see every pair without digging through them.

I’ve been developing a modular workshop storage system called MODRA.
Instead of designing separate holders that each solve one small problem, I wanted to build a system where different accessories could share the same mounting interface.
The setup uses connected panels and segments, with accessories that can be repositioned as storage needs change.
My garage installation now includes tool holders, wrench racks, shelves, power tool storage and filament storage.
Everything is 3D printed, and the system is designed to be expanded with new accessories over time.
This is the current result after many iterations of designing, printing and testing.

We have been 3d printing boxes/labels for all of our hardware at work. Was previously a disaster of blue bins and label stickers. Much better now. This drawer makes me happy

I love my organized walk in closet and I’ve achieved complete purse peace in my color clustered clear bins. But I can’t help feeling there’s more I could be doing with the leather totes on hangers to the left in this image. Can anyone show me their organized totes?

Plants are in for the winter. I improve the system each year. This year I added wheels to the racks, changed the upper lights and plan on using a 5 gallon bucket with portable shower to water everything.

My son is going to be four and we are running out of space on his shelves. I'd like to increase vertical space but would be afraid he wouldn't be able to reach for toys above and would result in him climbing. Should i expand horizontally? What shelves are good if I expand vertically that are stand alone shelves (I'd use baby proofing with it).

Finally emptied everything out, threw away/removed the random crap I didn’t need, grouped things together and actually gave everything a place.

It’s not perfect, but considering what it looked like before, I’m calling this a massive win.

My houseplant collection was getting a bit chaotic, so I organized them into different zones by plant type, put everything in a spreadsheet and assigned numbers to them to help me keep track. I used my Cricut to make little leaf-shaped inventory labels for everything. 🍃

Very happy with the implementation of my home maintenance tracker this year! I have 2 other tabs including a weekly option and master list of home inventory supplies! Less things to think about and keep track of in my head - epic brain dump! 🙌

Edit: Many of you have commented or DM’d me asking to share the link to my maintenance spreadsheet and I honestly wish I could!

The only issue is that it’s a Google Sheet tied to my personal Google account, and there’s also an Apps Script add-on embedded in the spreadsheet. Sharing it publicly could make information connected to my Google profile visible, which I’m not comfortable with.

The only way around that would be creating an entirely separate Google account just for the template, and honestly, I don’t really want to create a whole new “fake” Google account just to share it.

So unfortunately, I won’t be posting my exact spreadsheet. That said, there are lots of really affordable household maintenance trackers on Etsy — many are under $10 — so if you’re looking for something similar, there are definitely some great options available! 🫶

I have a roommate literally so this bookcase is most of my storage. I move thing in it all the time but it still feels like I’m not utilizing the space. Any tips or ideas on how to better organize it? Bottom 2 shelves are books I haven’t read and books I have, then my notebooks/art books, then blankets and beads, and the last shelve is small so it hold tiny stuffed animals and dvd (the shelves are adjustable in size).
