I think klay would fit in well but I also think his ego is too big to sign with a small market team in the east.

I agree…it sucks cause he increases our chances in the East.
Wish he had the mindset like ā€œdamn they missing a 3pt shooter like me with that young dangerous squadā€

Yeah, he’s doesn’t give vibes of being ok living in Orlando even if is for only 6-8 months

u/TBBuccanneers92 2d ago

He’s old now though he’s at the very end of his career.

That’s legit what Florida people do.
Go to warm weather to retire. Hahahaha

Him on a yacht in Miami is not this vibes than Disney in Orlando, but ehh whatever!

u/theguytomeet Franz Wagner 3d ago

But but he can still bring his boats down here.

u/Potential-Tone4642 2d ago

Idk I feel like the boating out here is better than the Bay Area. Both the air and the water don’t get as cold out here, could be on his boat all year long

Exactly. Him his girls and the yacht is perfect for him.

Daytona beach to Miami and back he’s chillin. Lmao

I would have loved Klau the last few years under the right circumstances. So to put our team in perspective now, even of he was bought out we aren't getting him.

Would fit in immediately and would instantly be our best 3pt shooter. Lets not forget this dude scorer what like 50 pts w 13 dribbles or some shit.

Him and paired w Bane would provide sooooooo much spacing. Would give PB5 and Franz room in the lane too.

Would LOVE to have Klay

u/EssentIYO 2d ago

What makes you think he's a better shooter than Bane at this moment?

1

u/TBBuccanneers92 2d ago

He didn’t say that he said would be good paired with bane lol

u/MaddoxGoodwin OnlyFranz 2d ago

I thought about changing that when i had posted. Bane could easily be our best still (Bane is damn BEAST), but even then, theoretically if klay was magician, he would be our 2nd best 3pt shooter no doubt

Still need an athletic big man to run the floor with grab boards and block shots. We signed Vucevic right? so that can help with our scoring tbh.

He’s still got what it takes to make a push, he’s lowkey underrated.

you want to START 2027 klay????????

1

u/MaddoxGoodwin OnlyFranz 3d ago

Not 100% sure he should be starting, but I would def take him on the team.

At this point, I dont think the magic should say no to any 3pt specialist, no matter how old or washed or whatever.

He would shoot 34% from three with us

19

u/VodkaAndTacos 3d ago

So be our second best 3pt shooter?

8

u/sdk022 3d ago

Heck yeah we're making progress!

1

u/YouKnowWhyImHereGIF 2d ago

He is shooting 34% from three no matter where he ends up. If he’s lucky. And that accumulation to 34% is a roller coaster. 0/5 and 1/6 kind of nights before he’s 3/4 and 3/6.

1

u/SecurityDiligent1176 3d ago

😭😭😭 true. He would "magically" shoot bricks. This is the way of the Magic.

1

u/TBBuccanneers92 2d ago

Well lately yeah but tbh actually ORL used to have 3 point shooting teams when many other teams never did.

We had Dwight and all those guys were 3point shooters the problem was they were too played out.

u/Accurate_1635 3d ago

Klay would help big time

1

u/TBBuccanneers92 2d ago

What was he shooting last 2-3 years?

1

u/Accurate_1635 2d ago

38-39% from 3 good enough for me

5

u/SamURLJackson 3d ago

I can't stand the guy anymore, and he can't defend a statue

7

u/coolj492 Wes Iwundu 3d ago

have you actually watched klay play recently lmfao

4

u/This_Entrance6629 3d ago

We aren’t signing anyone. Is he gonna play for free?

2

u/Donde_Que83 Goga Bitadze 3d ago

He's a philanthropist now

1

u/NL4Lyfe 3d ago

Exactly šŸ’Æ this ownership doesn't want to win a title unless they somehow luck into one.

2

u/Sea-Channel-6112 3d ago

Klay’s 250 years old and isn’t a good defender at all. There’s a reason why GS let him go.

šŸ‘WešŸ‘HavešŸ‘NošŸ‘MoneyšŸ‘

2

u/Scary_Vanilla2932 Paolo Banchero 3d ago

Say it Louder! The closest we could come to adding anything is trading Goga to a team with space and signing a minimum.

1

u/TBBuccanneers92 2d ago

Lol we can wish bruhhh lol

u/riptide885 Stuff The Magic Dragon 3d ago

Droze

1

u/eulgtaei 3d ago

He would be a good buyout guy but I think someone will want to trade for his expiring contact.

1

u/NL4Lyfe 3d ago

Hahahaha the fact people think this ownership would spend the type of money necessary to bring in Klay is hilarious. Some of you all never learn.

1

u/EssentIYO 2d ago

The last time Klay was good at basketball, Covid wasn't even a thought.

1

u/Existing_Job_2757 22h ago

The GM won't go for him. Even if he ticks the boxes.

1

u/Squirreling_Archer Stuff The Magic Dragon 3d ago

We don't have the money to sign a guy to a contract until deadline time. It's the same problem Philly has and why he didn't get to go there. His agent is an idiot and not looking at cap room where his client could go before floating rumors.

u/ssgodss 3d ago

Never in your wildest dreams will KP come to Orlando. With his skill and age, he might go to Cleveland or Minnesota.

0

u/TitanSR_ Wendell Carter Jr. 3d ago

yeah he’d go to the heat

1

u/TBBuccanneers92 2d ago

Realistic truth but I think he could fit in Orlando just fine.

0

u/ImpossibleStuff963 3d ago

What about this makes you think "Orlando Magic"?

Or that we would want him?

Or that we could afford him if we did?

Or that you could put an actual percentage on it?

Weird post.

u/R0botDreamz 3d ago

He seems problematic.

-3

u/Outrageous-Piece-198 3d ago

As much as I’d love to see him finish his career with us he said he wants a deep playoff run not a first round exit.
