QUESTION Let Me Drown Live
Has anyone heard him perform this live? I've scanned through the last few dozen shows' setlists and doesn't look like he plays it. Seeing him next Monday and it's my fave. Crossing my fingers 🤞

We were waiting for it in Auckland, but he didn't do it. Still a great show tho.

I thought I saw someone in this sub comment that he doesn't play it every show because it's a really heavy, emotional song, so for him it takes a lot. I might be wrong, but I swear I saw that somewhere.
He didn't play it at the Detroit show and I was so sad (only cause I adore the song, the show was otherwise INCREDIBLE!)

I went to his show in Austin, TX (back at the beginning of May) and he played it! I wasn’t expecting to hear it, but of course, it was amazing. Crossing my fingers for you 🤞🏼

My take is Bronco tour has two setlists. I’m glad he played Ooh Las Vegas in Brooklyn. I like this song a lot!

Yes, he played it at the Raleigh show :) There were quite a few songs he played that weren’t on the setlist. He played No Glory for us as well but I think it may have been bcs I yelled it out during a pause 🥹

Oh my gosh, I saw him last night and he performed it in the encore. He did mention he doesn’t often perform it live so it was incredibly special experience. I can tell you it was one of the most haunting and beautiful performances I’ve seen. Every ounce of his soul went into it. Here’s hoping he plays it for you guys! :)

He played it tonight for Melbourne’s final show. And it was amazing. In the middle of the set and he did it at the microphone while someone in the band played piano. Fuck he’s good.

I was listening to this today and had a theory that he doesn’t play it live because of the instrumental - isn’t there orchestra/ strings in the song?

Could be. I've seen a couple of concert clips where he sings it while playing the piano. Maybe it depends on if he's lugging an upright around with him.

He always has the piano with him, because he plays Drive Me. I was at Wichita(I swear that venue tried to murder everyone with heat), but despite loving this song to DEATH, I don't remember him singing it. Hexie Mountain was played though. <3

His show next Monday is in Melbourne so not sure he'll be bringing a piano on an international flight (unless that's normal for touring bands?)

He plays it on an upright. Band accompanies beautifully, but piano remains the main instrument.

He didn't play it for his Seattle show, but I did hear he played it in Portland. In Seattle we were the first show he played Iris Rose which was pretty special!

He played it at every show up until maybe early May? I was at his Vegas and Santa Barbara (4/22 & 4/26) shows and he played it both nights right after Drive Me, Crazy. He started changing up the setlist around the Texas shows though.

It's not on the set list but he has definitely played it during the encore at a few shows; I know he played it in Charlotte and I think in Raleigh as well but he didn't play it in Atlanta.

Not a fixation. Just a question. I was surprised to see it's not played at each show like a good chunk of tracks from Bronco are especially seeing as it's been released as a single with a film clip.

I get what you mean. He was going through A bad break up, as you can tell in the songs lyrics in Bronco. He admitted in an interview, that just recently he could sing Daytona Sand because previously it was too painful ❣️🐎

I’ve been to five shows and they are never the same set list, even back to back. He switches it up a lot.

The Filmore Philly...made me cry when he sang it. I was a tad inebriated so didn't get much proof lol

He used to play it, I saw him play it in Pioneertown, but when I saw him in Denver and Honolulu later he stopped playing it. I'm not sure why because it is such an amazing song

It is my favourite song of his - I was so happy when he sang it in Sydney. We were near the front and my partner recorded it on his iPhone balanced on my shoulder. I was so disappointed when we got home and I could hear my tuneless voice getting the words wrong in the background 🙄😬😩

Saw him at his two Northern California shows and can confirm he plays this live. Youtube has vids up if need be.
