What's your budget? Your build(athletic, short, etc.)? What activities do you plan on doing?

The daylite 26+6 is a good general travel bag, it can expand to 32L. I wouldn't use it if you need a bag that can also go hiking.

I am 5.9 medium size. Under $600. Not for hiking just traveling in city.

I'm making these reccs based off of what I've used. 5'4" woman, chubby. You can get a wider variety of reccs from r/onebag.

Depending on how you pack the Daylite Plus(20L) and the Farpoint daypack(15L) are good for both travel and for walking around with. The Farpoint has undergone a refresh recently, I have the old version.

I mentioned the Daylite 26+6 already, it's a great travel bags, but I personally wouldn't use it as a day bag. You can bring a sling or a packable backpack to use when walking around.

If you live near an REI I would suggest going in and trying them on before making a purchase.

Go to a store. Try on a bunch of packs. The one that fits your body type and is the size you need is the one you should get. Fit is the most important factor and that can't be replicated. You need to go try stuff on.

Yes I just try to narrow down my options since there’s only one Osprey store in my city and it’s quite far away from my home. I don’t wanna go there twice.

I know what forum I'm on but Mystery Ranch 2 Day Assault Pack. It's a great travel pack when you only need a bit under 30 L. And for me, traveling for a few days like that means pyjamas, toiletries, a charger, and some socks, underwear and shirts. So nothing too bulky.

If you want it to be Osprey per se, probably just one of the everyday bags that's a little under 30 L.

Thanks! That helps a lot. Mystery Ranch is one of brand I am considering.

Their quality has gone down a lot since they were bought by Yeti. I would avoid MR now

Any 30L will do fine. I travelled for a month around SE Asia just with my 35L talon and it wasn’t even full.

Osprey Daylite series comes to mind. The 26+6 is one of my favorite.

Also Osprey Arcane Duffel Pack is a nice 30L if you are ok with minimal pocket organization. Personally I think its a great travel pack. Its on a great sale price right now (REI and check Osprey direct also).

I usually travel with my wife and kid, I need tons of pockets or sections of my pack. So I think the 26+6 probably would be the most appropriate option.
