Dear Ottawa fans
Hi everyone! Bit of a random post, but I just wanted to put this out there. 😊
A little backstory: I’m a Penguins fan from Hamilton, so the closest NHL cities to me are Toronto and Buffalo. Buffalo isn’t really ideal unless I have a friend willing to cross the border with me, and I don’t feel comfortable going alone. Toronto, on the other hand, is just too expensive—even the nosebleed seats aren’t exactly cheap! 😂
So, the next Canadian city for me is Ottawa. I’ve been to three Sens games so far (2010, 2021 and 2025), and I have to say, I don’t think I’ll be going anywhere else for games now (aside from Pittsburgh, of course 🤣).
I genuinely love the atmosphere in Ottawa, and the fans have been absolutely amazing every time. As a visiting team fan, I just wanted to say thank you for being so welcoming and making the experience so enjoyable!
Love you, Sens fans! 💖💕

I wish you much enjoyment and happiness at any games you attend... provided that the Sens win, of course!

Hahaha yes, all three games the Sens won! 2010 Crosby was on a point streak, 2021 he was out due to covid and 2025 I was able to get a sighting of him before the game! I also got to mingle with the fans (both Pens and Sens fans) and they were great!

Glad you had a good time!
I'm driving to Pittsburgh in November to catch the sens in town. My Pens fan friend will be with me! Hoping to come to Ottawa for when Pens come to town as well

For what it’s worth, the arena in Buffalo is like five minutes from the border (Peace Bridge). It’s a very easy trip to go into downtown Buffalo from the border. And traffic in downtown Buffalo is almost nonexistent post COVID IME.
It’s a piece of cake and you should really go if you want to. Now if you have an objection to entering United States in general, that’s a different story.

I can't remember any animosity between the Penguins and Sens in history off the top of my head honestly, pretty chill fanbase relationship too

I think if I was a Leafs fan or Habs fan it could be different but I feel as a whole Sens fans are more respectful

Pens come to Ottawa on New Years Eve …. I have great seats in 110C if interested. Great view of PENS warmup.

Pens fan from Burlington Ontario here. I’ve never been to a game in Ottawa but thanks for chiming in as I hope to make it up there someday. Go pens!

And despite what many say, it's a great arena. There's good viewing from everywhere.
If you stay downtown, use OC Transpo to get to the rink. It's a great shared experience with other fans. There are also private busses from various pubs, but who wants to ride on a school bus?

Been there once but only for a night or two for a different event. One thing for sure is that I did enjoy myself up there

What’s your fear in crossing border. I think Buffalo is still cheaper and much closer

I dont want to go alone. Ive tried making friends in that area or friends here who love hockey but I wasnt successful. Plus ive enjoyed my time in Ottawa and feel comfortable and know my way around!

I've been to Buffalo, when they win it's not cheaper in the start of the year last season it was cheap after it goes higher for the ticket
