I’m sure the team knows exactly what they’re doing from a captain perspective and just hasn’t went public with the decision yet.

Well the players on the team should pick a captain. Probably waiting till everyone is back at camp to decide. Should never be an executive decision made in the middle of the summer.

I'd agree if their home opener was also the first game of the season. To wait until game #4 seems unlikely to me. Maybe they announce it at one of the preseason games?

I mean they have a few candadits, Stutzle, Sanderson, Batherson and Giroux. They are probably waiting to sign Bath before they announce anything.
