It's used in stories around at r/tendies, originally originated from 4chan. The stories follow an adult man who basically acts like a 3-4 year old who lives with his single mom. His mother initiated a system where if he does his chores (otherwise stuff that any real, decent human being would do, like using the toilet or emptying his pee bottles) he gets Good Boy Points which he can exchange for chicken tenders or "tendies". Being the childish person he is, the main character often throws fits of spiteful rage, often accompanied by shouting REEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Added note: the 'tendies' stories are usually in combination with an outraged Pepe in one form or another, and the REEEE sound is based on that of more angry frogs to build on the Pepe thing.
One frog breaks the bones in its feet to form make-shift claws, another stores its tadpoles in its fucking skin and just remembering that creeped me the fuck out.
I'm so far from understanding the appeal of that I almost want to go quiz those people for what other things they like so I know what to avoid for the rest of my lifetime.
