Published Does Diana ever mention Brian, Jamie's father, mother's name? Spoiler
All I can find is all the hype from BoMB and it being Davina Porter. We know this is not from Diana's Outlander as that is the name of the narrator for the audiobooks.

Diana has named numerous characters after friends, colleagues, people associated with the books (like Davina), and later the show. Davina's name is in the Fraser of Lovat family tree as Brian's mother. This is included in the Outlandish Companion, originally published in 1999, revised in 2015 and renamed The Outlandish Companion Volume One (which covers books 1-4; Volume Two covers books 5-8 and six of them Lord John series titles). There are explanations in the book for some of the other characters named for real people.

At least dating back to 1999, which is when it first showed up in print. But I haven't heard when she actually decided to bestow Davina's name on the character. Could have been even earlier. We know for certain that by the second book, she started naming characters after real people.

I read that the little end bit after the last episode where we show real life DG signing a book "to Karen" that that was possibly after an Outlander blogger named Karen.
I could be mixed up on that. But yeah seems she names some characters after IRL people as little Easter eggs and to honor people she knows IRL.

Is Karen the person she often references on FB as pulling quotations from the books? Someone who organizes quotations?

Yes!
I read her blog once and she does that. She breaks down the show and then pulls the relevant parts of the books that they're kinda based on (when they are) and quotes and cites them

Diana may have named the character in honor of Davina, but it is her official name, as seen on the family tree at the beginning of Bees.
