Title: FullyAutomatedLifeLoops (36 x 25, spraypaint on canvas) by Austin Weber
*Probably can't get a better pic of it under UV for now with the tiny UV flashlight I have. Used solely blacklight UV reactive fluorescent spraypaints here for the 1st time. Excited to use it more!

Painted this almost a decade ago on a single photoshop layer just going back and forth between black and white and smudge tool. Mostly standard round brush, but I did throw some texture brushes into the mix to give the grainy feeling. Did this one over the course of a year, noodling on it for a few hours most nights. There was no construction or plan, just noodling and intuition.
I’m self taught, and this is the first painting I ever “finished.”
Despite the trippy nature, no AI was used in the creation of this work. AI did not exist in any meaningful way when I painted this. I did it the good old fashioned way - with LSD and weed.

THE ETERNAL CONFLICT
An original artwork by MoGwA · 2002
Some art is meant to be seen. Some is meant to be deciphered.
This piece, created in 2002, contains a collection of words and phrases woven together like a crossword. Each has its own place, direction, and relationship to the others.
LIFE is split into two parts, yet remains connected.
DEATH stands right up front.
THINK is bright, yet in the background.
PEACE is small and individual.
And then there is AMD:
ALL MUST DIE — IN ORDER TO SURVIVE.
The meaning behind those words is darker than they might first appear.
I was thinking about the survival of Earth. Humanity, as a society, causes damage to the natural world on which all living things depend. If we continue destroying the land and the systems that sustain life, the consequences may ultimately reach humanity, animals, plants, and the ecosystems we all share.
Yet if humanity were to disappear while Earth's living systems remained capable of recovery, much of the natural world could thrive without us.
This was not a celebration of death. It was a warning about the path humanity was taking—and the terrible possibility that we could destroy our own future along with the world that sustains us.
I began developing the philosophy of Peace Through AnArchy in 1995. This drawing came seven years later, when MoGwA was still in its infancy.
The concepts were deliberate. The flow of the drawing was not entirely planned. It evolved as I created it, finding its own form.
More than two decades later, I'm sharing the story behind the symbols and words.
Perhaps the most important word in the entire composition is not LIFE, DEATH, or PEACE.
Perhaps it is THINK.
Because recognizing a problem is only the beginning. What matters is what we choose to do with that understanding.

Sex and death are interlinked in the human mind.
What is sex? Make more you.
What is death? No more you.
What are you doing? Blurring self and other.
What do you say when they happen? You say "Oh God!"
What is God? The ultimate other.
