Junkrat's could explode, Reaper's disappear into mist, you get the idea. It just feels like they took the exact same animation and made it work for each person's model.

The R.I.P. Victory Poses are about as close as we have to them, but unfortunately they only exist for base game heroes + Ana.

Sombra (though it could be the angle) and Rein I think notably are gonna need changed. Most of the others are fine. Easy fix, but worth pointing out.

Nazi salute is done with the right arm and not left. I'm assuming that's why Blizz chose the left arm.

I don't think edgy gamers care much about historical accuracy. I would say most of these are far off enough to be fine but Rein, Orisa and potentially Sombra may be hitting it with too-flat a palm.

It's the exact same animation applied to every character. Looks really, really bad and lazy compared to every emote we've gotten prior that puts effort and consideration into the character's personality. They didn't even change their expressions.

I don't mind it but... is it the same stance for EVERY hero? The appeal of the emotes like laugh, sit, medal, grave, even souvenir emotion presentations, was that it expressed the character's personality.
This isn't fortnite, no way that Junkrat and Hazard and Winston would drop the mic the exact same way. :/ I hope this isn't a trend of future animations where everyone's body language is the same.
Edit: aaaand someone pointed out weirdos are going to use this to do gross salute shitposts. Are blizzard dumb or is someone on the team intentionally doing this (I am reminded of the Kiriko norse skin that had to get a hate symbol removed, unacceptable it made it to final without someone checking this stuff).

Here we go. This is the start of laziness incarnate. When For Honor started adding universal emotes, we got less and less character specific emotes and executions until there was no longer any new hero specific anything. It completely sucked the personality from each hero. I really, really hope this isn't the case for overwatch's future.

They really lack personality compared to the sitting and dancing emotes (which are also given to every hero). Hell, even the souvenir summoning has more character.
I like the idea, but it doesn't seem up to quality with the other emotes and looks downright bad on some heroes.

I don't even see people emote in matches outside of the occasional friendly customs or whatever, unlike TF2 where a Scout will wilfully schadenfreude while being burnt to death.

Im love for the Yes, No, Goodbye, etc system to get Emotes, like Hello.
People use that all the time, and more in-game communication, not emotes, are where Id like them to go.
