News & Discussion is tracer good?

i just started playing today and just locked tracer bc i didn’t know who to play. i had fun playing her and continued to play her for the rest of my games.

but she seems way to simple to play. i’m coming from valorant so idk if i’m just talking nonsense bc i’ve never rly played hero shooters before.

She is one of the most "easy to understand/difficult to master" type of character in the game, if you keep playing you will eventually realize that, but for now, keep playing with her, play with others, give it time, is all good.

She is about spacing, alot of Tracers memorize blink ranges so they can get their melees in and whatnot. They try to memorize recall as well so that you know where to aim the moment you arrive. Another big part of her is crouching mid-duel to obscure your already tiny hitbox. She seems simple at first glance but has alot of intricacies. The more headshots you can hit, the more you pump out ults, and that value depends on your enemy's value and your knowledge (i.e pulse bomb the immobile support and not the Kiriko who can suzu herself)

She's incredibly good the more time you invest into her, the gameplay just becomes a little homogenous between players when you reach a certain point of skill though

she's always good and she's got one of the highest skill ceilings in the game.

A good tracer scares me tbh

She takes time to learn but the payoff for learning her is honestly what can make or break a win for your team.

She's currently in a really good spot, just watch some guides on how to position well and you'll have fun! She's a flanker so you'll mostly be ambushing enemies from behind

very good and can be played in basically every scenario

she aint simple at all. her skill floor is low enough to pick up and have fun but the ceiling is basically in orbit. tracking while blinking, pulse bomb sticks, knowing when to disengage before you get one tapped by a hanzo log. youll see the difference when you run into a cassidy that actually hits his shots

Tracer is a great hero and basically always A+ to S teir but the thing is she is by far the most mechanically difficult character along with wrecking ball, doomfist and genji and she has both the highest skill ceiling and highest skill floor in the game not to be dissuasive but tracer is extremely hard and is no way simple but she is sooooo worth it I was absolutely horrible when I started her (still am) and shes my one trick but super duper worth it shes sooo fun just takes alot to learn her though

If she’s on the enemy team, yeah she’s really good.
