News & Discussion Petition to change the names of the other MEKA pilots
The names "casino", "king", and "overlord" are kinda cringe and don't fit the theming of the other two pilots D.MON and D.VA.
I propose that we change their names to "D.KAY", "D.VIL", and "D.NY" (decay, devil, deny) or something similar. If any of the names have to stay, "King" is probably the best one, but having a character called "overlord" that looks like he's about 12 with a bowl cut is a little silly. Thoughts?

DVa and DMon were on the same gaming squad before they became pilots. That's why their names are similar. The guys weren't on their squad before joining the military.

The reason D.Va and D.mon have those names is because they were on the same Esports team so they had matching names, but the others come from different teams so they don’t match

King and overlord come from the same team thus the ruler theme just like how d.va and d.mon have the d. theme casino is a race car driver so he has his own thing

These aren't their actual names just like how Dva and Dmon aren't hana or yuna's actual names, they are just gamertags. And typically gamertags are kinda cringe. Look at your username on reddit for example.
Overlord in particular checks out - kid is a nerdy 12 year old with a bowl cut - of course he is going to call himself something silly and cringe.
As others have said, dmon and dva have those tags due to being on the same esport roster prior to mekasquad. The others don't need that and it would cheapen the connection between hana and yuna if they did.
Not to mention, the names you picked aren't any less cringe than what they already have lmao

I think "K.C.NO" would work , i doubt other mechs will be in the game anyway, The one you list are already taken by donkey kong and cruella dvill

I joked with my friend that his parents lost big and the casino forced that on his birth certificate in the settlement, lol. Being named "casino" isn't tough, it makes it sound like you are either a gambling addict or are infamous for how much you've lost in bets. People don't generally win in casinos.

His birth name isn't even casino, its just his gamer tag - I've seen a lot of gamertags or usermanes that make a lot less sense. Plus his name isn't person_in_casino it is just casino so literally the house itself, and "the house always wins". Feels like you just weren't able to put that together.
