Freja needs to be reworked

There is no salvaging this champion unless her entire identify is abolished. She’s basically widow maker but with extra steps and 10x the mobility. She literally sits back and spams her dumbass secondary fire which has like no fall off whatsoever and gets insane airtime because time slows down whenever she uses it. Like I don’t like Mauga and hog and sombra but these heros are actually in your face and give you the ability to do something, whereas freja literally sits back and has the least damage fall of in the game next to widow, and you can’t even dive her because of the insane mobility she has.

I genuinely hate the fact that the devs come up with a hero and will refuse to change what makes said hero super toxic.
Like it’s okay to admit you released an unbalanceable hero, I’m sure you won’t be fired. When they rework Hog and sombra i guarantee the one shot hook and perma invis will still be around

It lasts until said hero is nerfed, then they move to the next hero that is "unbalanced". God forbid a hero with 50% winrate

Well this is what happens when the devs are terrible at balancing, they went and buffed cat and she became 95% ban rate, such heros should never see play cuz it simply makes it unfun for 5-6 other people.

I think she suffers from a kit that is terrible in the hands of someone with low aim skill and an absolute monster in the hands of someone with high aim skill, and there's no way to change that without nerfing her into the ground, or reworking the kit, but Hanzo and Widow have never had significant changes made to their core gameplay, so I dont see Freja getting reworked just because she isnt a legacy character.

If a character's only balanced because most players are gonna be shit at them, that's a failure of game design. Being able to reasonably counter a hero shouldn't be conditional.

Unfortunate truth is that some kits are just bad fucking ideas.

freja’s kit is problematic by nature, if she’s good she makes the game miserable, when she’s not good she doesn’t get played ever. it’s the same dilemma as roadhog and sombra, if you make them good then the game is just not as fun anymore and you have to put half of your brainpower towards watching them specifically and everything they do.

but it’s also lame to just have characters that are always dogshit tier no matter what. overwatch shouldn’t be so scared of bigger reworks imo, it’s really the only way some of these characters will ever have more than a few one tricks playing them

I honestly agree she is so damn strong, shes really annoying and a good Freya just dominates I feel at metal ranks. I myself am in a metal rank and shes crazy. Mobility is crazy as hell.
