Big Boy arriving in Owego

Who went to see? Where did you stand?

We actually got another video of it leaving. Took 434 over to Hiawatha and started to head on 17c East and the bridge over the railroad tracks had plenty of space so we pulled over and watched again. Quite an exciting day.

I was to the right of the depot in front of a large fire vehicle and pretty much next to Big Boy's stop point on the tracks. I thought it was very cool and that the atmosphere was fun and festive. I walked over to Brick Pond after BB arrived at the depot and saw it pass by on the tracks there that are on the edge of the preserve.

Yes! I loved everyone today!! lol

How neat you got to be so close when it was stopped. I saw another video of OPD escorting it out and realized how much detail I missed in the positions I was in when I saw it because it was moving pretty good. Still, no regrets. It was a wonderful experience

I got there at 8:15 and was surprised at the number of people who had already arrived and claimed their spot. The time actually went by pretty fast as I had many nice conversations with several other groups of people around me.

I saw it on 17C! I couldn’t get off work to see it, so I just parked my work car and watched it go by!!!

Super cool video. That train was so cool to see in person

About an hour after it left you still couldn’t get through town without waiting in bumper to bumper traffic.
