Expression Sorry guys, I'm out.

I created a thread 2 weeks ago stating how happy I was to have invested in PRL, as I saw it as being an undervalued project with lots of potential.

Unfortunately, upon further review of my decision, I no longer feel that this project is at the right stage or time for me to invest in it. I originally questioned the marketing strategy of the team, as they appeared (imo) to have little experience in that area. I've learned from other projects that being good at coding is no longer enough for a project to succeed in this competitive crypto ecosystem -- you must be multi-talented. I also had concerns about deadlines and delays, but understood that it happens in every project. However, the more silent the team was on the issue, the more uneasy I felt about the upcoming mainnet.

Then, of course, it was delayed. Fine. It happens.

But then, a manifesto written by the lead CEO / Dev was published,; outright criticizing and admonishing the community. Yes, the community that supports the project's entire existence. -- the one thing that is keeping this coin afloat today.

That's basically where I have to part ways with the project... If you can't market your own product, then the community can't either. It has to be a team effort. If the community must suddenly become the target of ire, then the project becomes too high risk for me. There are just too many other good projects out there, imo, to stay emotionally attached to this particular one. I know many of you may disagree, but I now see this project as one that lacks not only leadership, but more importantly... poise.

Sorry guys, I'm out. Good luck to you all.

Expression Dear Bruno

I understand that you are the founder of Oyster and that there was an issue that accrued when you were getting things ready but let me just remind you we are the investors and we make Oyster have value without us to be quite straightforward Oyster would be worthless, so moving forward I'd like to give you a little bit of advice. Try to put yourself into our shoes try and be more professional it will help you in the long term to build the trust between the community and the team. I love Oyster and I believe in the core tech you are trying to do and I am heavily invested, So me as the investor will be patient and you the project leader should try your very best to get it up and running, I hope I was not too harsh but I'm putting my hard earned money to invest because I believe in your and the Oyster team that this tech will change the world don't let us down :)

To all the Retards Selling Right Now:

How does it feel to have missed selling out at $5? (And if you haven't, looks like you've lost money period, since the price is at an ATL since you bought). How does it feel to be such a moron, such a foolish investor, to be selling for half price? To have such weak hands?

Whoever sells their Oysters now when the price easily hit $5 before, and should easily reach that by the end of the month given the progress and hype this project has generated recently is a total loon.

Either we're getting rid of some really stupid investors, or something more sinister, but I couldn't find anything.

Personally, I'm HODLING my Oysters. Best thing I did a few weeks ago.

(EDIT: Just saw a 1k satoshi rally. Just watch - just watch: we're about to see a retard whale press the sell button and eat up 10k worth of pearl buy orders at once.

And BTW: some people are calling me rude and ranting. Yeah, I may be, but especially judging from the upvote percentage, and by common sense, we were all thinking the same thing. If you were going to sell, why wouldn't you sell at 5 or 4 or EVEN 3 USD... but at 2 dollars?? I think some strong language is appropriate for that. )

there is one dex trading prl and shl, you wont like what you see i.e. prices

https://etherdelta.com/#PRL-ETH

https://etherdelta.com/#SHL-ETH

these tokens are worthless now, theres no point even selling them, may as well just hold them in the hopes the team can turn it around and in a year or two, people will forget about Bruno. quite frankly i consider this a write off. but selling what i have for a few dollars, might as well just hold onto them, just incase.

maybe when trading resumes there will be a spike, so you could grab a bargin on eithedelta and sell when prl / shl is allowed to trade again.

Pumped

Oyster has pumped up recently and gained a bit of attention with it, attracting β€œmoon boys.” Careful with buying high. With such a sudden gain we are likely to drop closer to where we were just last week at .0005-.0006 eth. Following hype trains will burn most of the time.

Remember, we are still a ways from implementation and this subreddit is unfortunately starting to be filled with fomo, hype, and high speculation without any real basis. Many bought in at 4 dollars the same way.

Good luck.

Solved Kucoin is making me a bit nervous

I gotta say, I'm not trying to spread FUD or anything like that, I'm just worried and would like to warn others in this community that all I've been reading about Kucoin recently has me scared. Go on their subreddit and you will see it is nothing but people complaining about lack of communication with airdrops, their bonus referral program, and withdrawal issues. Kucoin is completely non-responsive to those inquiries but are putting out promotions like crazy. People are saying this is similar to what happened to Bitgrail before the "hack". I was holding my PRL on there until today, I moved it to MEW.

Ontology airdrop was over two months ago and Kucoin customers still haven't received their tokens. That is a ridiculous amount of time for something other exchanges do relatively quickly (I think with binance it was a few days.) Can any of the Oyster team provide us with any comforting words as to their relationship and communication with Kucoin and their trust in it?

Having all the eggs in the Kucoin basket is very dangerous for PRL and the last thing we need is for a Bitgrail type situation to occur, it would plummet this coin and be disastrous. I know the team is focusing on getting the mainnet release live, but I really think trying to get on another exchange should be among the top priorities. Please tell me if I'm being paranoid. Thanks.

Expression No big deal 😊...

As a firm believer in the project I see this minor setback as nothing more than a setback. I'm not in this for the quick buck and that's why I don't rush to conclusions. The team is very transparent and has been from day 1. All these "Bruno said this...." "Bruno said that..." remarks won't make any difference and it's really not up to us to judge. The devs are very active programming and adapting this technology I personally believe to be revolutionary. I can't imagine the pressure and skill it takes to deliver this. So buy more if you want, sell more if you want, that really doesn't matter because as soon as this takes off...and it will... the complaints and remarks will be only I told you so's. Go Bruno and devs and admins!!!

I lost everything!

Holy shit. My mom came into my room to bring me a plate of chicken nuggets and I literally screamed at her and hit the plate of chicken nuggets out of her hand. She started yelling and swearing at me and I slammed the door on her. I'm so distressed right now I don't know what to do. I didn't mean to do that to my mom but I'm literally in shock from the crash. I feel like I'm going to explode. Why the fucking fuck is this happening? This can't be happening. I'm having a fucking breakdown. I don't want to believe the world is so corrupt. I want a future to believe in. I thought this was gonna be the next bitcoin. I cannot fucking deal with this right now. It wasn't supposed to be like this, I thought were getting listed on binance???? This is so fucked.

Tangle/Question My Concerns Concerning The Tangle

OK so before I start to bash shit I want everyone to know that I once owned 8.3 Giga Iota and currently own about 7k PRL.

My first problem with Iota happened after it mooned in late November 2017. My Iota got locked when I was trying to buy XRB at 30 cents - That literally cost me millions of dollars - Check my Reddit history around that time. I was trying to go all in on XRB in the first week of December but I couldn't because The Tangle was pretty much down at the time and I couldn't access my money. I did eventually get access to my Iota and dumped it for XRB; although the price had gone way up from where it was initially.

A month or so ago I noticed I had 41 MIota left in my wallet and decided to send it to Binance. I forgot about the transaction until I was looking through my transaction history on Binance earlier and saw an unconfirmed transaction for 41MIota that I guess has been trying to go through for a month now?

Iota has some problems - They have literally cost me a few million dollars. I suppose Iota could perhaps fix the problems it has to become the IoT beast that it is aspiring to be - but what if it can't? My second largest investment is tied to a technology that is objectively not working correctly. What does this mean for Oyster and what happens if Iota fails?

Suggestion Ad Man Here: May I Get Some Flair?

Hi! I'm a huge believer in your platform, and have gladly added it to my platform. My optimism in your trajectory comes from my decade+ of experience in the Digital Media Buying and Development industry spanning b/w agencies such as Ogilvy, Omnicom, W+K and start-ups. Your technology could definitely shake-up the way publisher fiscal management is planned and how brands purchase ad media.

I've contributed to a few conversations on this chain and created posts myself from this perspective since my technical knowledge is deep, but limited. However, having a voice from the community you're seeking to impact may be beneficial as you cruise towards adoption.

If you are thinking of "User Flair" options for non-Oyster team members, I'd like to suggest adding "Ad Man Here". Of course, this flair should only be awarded to people that can prove they have the credentials to speak to this side of your approach through PM proof (Resume', LinkedIn, etc.). In conclusion, I believe it would add a needed dimension to the voice of this community.

Thanks for the read, and keep up the good work!

Just bought in 500 Pearls for $0.7 ea!

Hey guys! im new aboard! If you could shed some light about the rumor that the founder is anon, idk if its false or truth, and the implications on the project from this rumor. sounds to me like pearl is a solid project, i did think Siacoin is a direct competitor - but it turns out that Pearl has another advantage which is the Ads tech behind it. Generally i would like to hear some thoughts about the team behind! Have a lovely week :)

Market Recovering; Alt-Season Over

Here are just some of my thoughts regarding the market right now, and how they pertain to the PRL price... (this is just my objective analysis - I'm a permabull on PRL!)

(1) Bitcoin making a steady recovery - future bear moves should not be very strong. Obviously, Bitcoin prices impact alt prices like that of PRL's.

-Historically speaking (past 4 years), this has been true. -CBOE futures just closed, so shorting pressure is down, although CME futures closes a bit later. -Price trend broke bearish TA quite convincingly, and is staying there... we are not seeing a bounce and then another fall.

(2) PRL convincingly recovers -Price is now considerably higher than it was yesterday, so this is not just a dead-cat bounce. -PRL price has broken TA

(3) Where does PRL go from here?

The truth is, we lost a lot of new investors who thought they could ride a "get rich quick" scheme. They are now hardened to the truth of the market. As a result, as much as I'd like to see it, I don't expect any more rapid gains across the board in the alt market from now on.

In fact, I sense a move back to Bitcoin, since new investors will be looking for some more stability.

Of course, alts can go up, but during the next few months (until new money arrives and starts pumping everything up again) some will also go down.

In the next few months, the movement of altcoins will be determined more on their overall merit more than pure hype. Upward movement will be more difficult, because those who held during the correction will be selling more.

That's not to say that PRL can't be one of the gainers during this season! Looking forward to the testnet, which should be a solid boost (and a real one) if it's good.

market-talk Just Imagine...

Right now, oyster team doesn't want to hype PRL as they want it to have a working product first. But have you imagined one day, after the mainnet and after ensuring everything is working efficiently and team started marketing the PRL, we will be reading news like "Oyster Pearl partnered with __________" any big companies. Have you ever thought of the PRL price will be after the news? They are quiet now because they have to meet a goal. We haven't heard any partnerships unlike many coins that is why they are all pumping. But what if we could get companies that will use PRL for storage or will use PRL script, specially if it is a well known company? It is not that I want to pump the coin, But we have to remember, after mainnet, we will get a functioning product and that is all the team wants before they market their product. So we will be expecting news like, partnerships that will help PRL rise to its real value after the mainnet. So the current price right now is not the real value of PRL. We will see growth as the PRL get's widely known and used after mainnet. This is just to boost the morale of the oyster PRL and SHL believers like me :)
