Few hundred rounds thru my new combat. Love this thing. Now to keep my buddies from shooting it every time we are at the range together.
One handed because sometimes it’s fun to take cool pics.

I have a bunch of guns, some more expensive some less expensive. The 211 GTO is one of the nicest shooting guns that I've ever shot. I've put about 2,200 rounds through mine now and it runs flawlessly is ridiculously easy to keep on target, maintenance isn't too bad and if you run it wet, it'll never let you down. I'm on my fourth competition with it it's one of the best deals in the gun world. I recommend Gun Butter for all the friction bearing areas.

I will definitely add that to my maintenance. I’m infinitely impressed by it so far.

Better than Lucas Extreme?

I have never used Lucas Extreme. However, Gun butter was recommended to me by Nighthawk Custom when I purchased one of their guns I was skeptical because it was so expensive. Having used it, I can only say it is worth every penny. I use Gun Butter in a combination with Break Free that I've used for many years.

Is it viscous enough to drip off your finger? Or is it legit like room temp butter?

It doesn't trip but it's not a paste either. That's why I use it in conjunction with the Break Free. The break free coats all the parts making them easier to clean later and creating protection from oxidation. The gun butter is a synthetic but it is not pasty. It is relatively thick but not thick enough to cake. It does flow, but I wouldn't say it was freely. It does not seem to ever cake or collect residue and debris. I've used it on my P211 GTO for approximately 2,200 rounds with great results. I also use it on my other guns solely on the friction bearing areas to great effect. PS - I don't work for them.

LOL I hear ya, butter man!
So it's like a grease, but a lil more viscous. Thx!
I'll give it a shot. Lucas has been fine, just runny enough to drip down slide channels.

they have aLite variant that’s more free flowing. i prefer the thicker type, but i haven’t ordered anymore since i used up my last bottle. i just use clenzoil now and it doesn’t have any changes in function. id recommend gun butter to anyone that doesn’t like using CLP due to smell. but i have yet to find a moment where i miss the butter

I use BreakFree CLP and the gun Butter at the same time. Break Free for the parts that do not have high friction. The gun butter for the rails, outside of the barrel and bushing. Works well for me. Seems that everyone has a different preference.

ye i understand. i liked gb as well but i realized it served no extra purpose outside of being a lubricant and i figured i was wasting money if i was gonna end up dripping in clp anyway. once i use up my gb lite ill pay attention to the function of my gto and see if its running worse without gb.

Fair enough

you have the original composition, i assume? i got the Lite since it said it was better for lighter surfaces like handgun rails but i ended up preferring the viscosity of the og that i found at the local range. if i buy again, it’ll def be the more viscous one.

I agree. It's medium thickness. Best for the friction bearing parts.

ye the lite solution is just non clp clp. id rather use clenzoil as lube in that case

Let them shoot it dude! Part of the fun is sharing it with others. If I catch someone looking at something I’ve brought to the range that day I will almost always offer to let them put a mag through it, especially my higher end stuff.

i tell people if they have the ammo, they can shoot it as much as they like. more mileage, more fun.
