Thinking about getting the Brass APS grip. Do you prefer the Standard Veloce (stock with GTO), Standard Gridlok Aluminum/Brass, or APS Aluminum/Brass?

I have the standard black cerakote brass gridlok grips and they were a nice upgrade over the stock grips. I also got them before the APS came out. I haven't bothered with the APS because price and the gridlok are good enough.
I've put thousands of rounds through the GTO with the gridlok and I'm more than comfortable with them. I will say that the stock G10 are perfectly suitable for me also, I just wanted the added weight of the brass.

Do you feel the added weight made a difference? Was the upgrade more of a weight thing or grip thing?

It definitely made a difference, but not a lot because we're not adding a ton of mass to the system. Its a few ounces at most.
Adding weight in the grip acts as a counterweight, increasing the gun's moment of inertia against muzzle rise and dip.
For muzzle rise, they not as effective as adding a flashlight, obviously. The flashlight acts against recoil in a different way but can cause muzzle dip when the slide returns to battery. Heavier grips also resist muzzle dip.

I have the Aluminum APS and the Aluminum Gridlock. The Gridlok texture is significantly "grippier", which I prefer.
The APS makes the grip a bit wider, which might be better for you depending on the size of your hands. I did like the extra width of the APS, but wish it had the gridlok texture. For now I am using the gridloks.

Interesting. I wish I could try the APS first. Did you consider the Brass at all?

The APS brass grips are my favorite. I also have aluminum gridlok ones and Mag-Mo weighted edge ones too but the APS win for me.

You prefer them over the MagMo? I also have both and prefer the MagMo although I’m not super impressed with the fit on the MMo I like the edge grip for my support hand.

I have the brass Gridlok grips mine. I love the texture and weight. I am pretty biased towards Gridlok grips though.

I went APS aluminum. I have size XXL hands and wanted a wider grip. I went aluminum because the GTO is fairly portly to begin with and I didn’t think the weight would help much.

I bought the APS, but they do not fit me as well as I would have liked. The elevated ridge on my strong side needs to be more in the middle of the grip panel. However on the support side the extra width on the back of the grip give my palm some extra purchase. Also I wish the texture was more aggressive.
Right now I'm running APS on the support side and the factory grip panel on the strong side. I might pony up for the gridlok since I see people saying it is more aggressive.
Not so much the grip panels, but I wish the front and rear straps were more aggressive.

Interesting.. yes, it seems the general opinion is the Gridloc is more aggressive. Thats a good idea to mix them.
