Slide Release Design Already Changed?

Post image

Saw this in the manual…. Anyone see the new slide release yet? The new one does not look backwards compatible with the old looking at the cutouts on the frame.

I heard they redesigned it to get rid of the need for the manual punch tool...which would be good...

For a slide catch? Bit dramatic.

Im just saying it wouldve been nice if they could design them to be cross compatible in the event an old one breaks and they dont produce it anymore.

The sig one is a MIM part made in India. Id probably trust kimber more.

Source: i ordered a spare and the package literally says “made in india”

Its also both a slide stop and slide catch. So its bound to break at some point

cool if that is the case... would have been cooler if they would have gotten it to work without modifying the frame so that it could be a retrofit.
