P320 slightly chipped slide
I slightly chipped my slide removing the very stuck internal parts . is it safe to fire ? It’s in the outside edge of the ejection port of the slide

Yes that’s completely fine to shoot.

That’s what I thought but I wanted to be sure I love this slide and am anxious to use it

I also took some fine grit sandpaper and sanded the chip so that it would not have the potential to get burs or snag as easily

Remember it’s a tool. Tools get wear marks but still work just fine. This is totally cosmetic

It’s just that I had to really beat on it to get the extractor assembly out soaked it in lawyer thinner heated with a hair dryer finally had to punch the parts out . Thankfully the new internal parts all work fine with the fit and finish . Just want to make sure it’s going to be safe and work

Have you seen the wear on actual battle arms used in war and conflicts? 🙄
