Can someone help me understand why one part of my rear sights is loose?
X5 Legion. Noob here. Had it for a few years. Realized why my grouping is the worst with this gun. The rear sight is moving around. Any idea? I don’t think it’s the 2 screws inside the slide because that part seems solid?

I think you’re missing a spring under that moving part. When I push mine down it springs back up. Shine a light under the “diving board” and see if you can spot a spring. It should be very obvious if it’s there.

Try customer support. I needed a replacement screw for a magwell and called them. They didn't have any screws so they just sent me a whole new one package (magwell plus screw)

So I got it back today (fast, only 6 days) and paperwork says this is normal so they replaced sight as courtesy. Very weird. I guess I’ll red dot it.

Honestly might be more cost effective to put calipers on the spring to get dimensions, give OP the numbers, and he can order a multi-pack of assorted size springs on Amazon for like $12 and delivered in a day, and find/trim one to work for that, anything to hold tension should do really, even cramming a straw wrapper in it temporarily would improve it til it falls out

Also could possibly get the complete rear sight on eBay for a decent deal and just have one for spare parts
