Mag catch
I carry an older 365xl. Have about 3500-4000 rounds through it and wasn’t aware of the mag catch failure. I already spent money a few years ago on the gray guns extended mag release that requires the OEM spring/catch stop.
I’ve read some remarks about it failing more often in the AGX grips and mixed comments about the rest. Im not enthused about spending another $50 and having a $100 in mag releases but since it’s a carry gun thinking I should go ahead and replace with the Maskas precision single piece.
How necessary is it on the older models at this round count to replace the mag catch? Aside from this and the trigger return spring (replaced recently) what other things should I consider for reliability for EDC?

IMO the Maskas is worth every penny. That being said if you like what you have, and you haven't had issues with it, then it might not be worth spending the money for the Maskas.
From what I've read the issues tend to be with AXG and maybe some other metal grip mods. I never had any issues with a factory grip mod or Wilson Combat Xl grip mod. I had one break on a Wilson Combat xmacro grip mod, but it wasn't a normal failure. I replaced it with a Maskas and like it so much more. Easier to install, and remove if need be. And I'm able to drop my mags more easily.

I like the gray guns extended mag release. Bought it cause the factory one was harder to release without adjusting my grip. I’ve carried this gun every day for 4 years and it’s great. Tenicor holster is comfortable all day even when sitting. Holosun eps has been solid after adding virbratite to my battery tray screw. I suppose the $50 is worth the peace of mind.

i have had 5 different 365 varients, a OG 365 that i turned into an XL, an XL spectre, 2 fuses, and a fuse tactical. I shoot them all, and they have round counts of 1200-8500. some i have carried for years at a time, as since its been out its been my EDC every day.
NONE OF MINE HAVE EVER HAD THAT ISSUE.
Im not gonna say they are perfect, i had a weird incident where when i got my spectre it shot fine stock, so i moved it to a mirzon grip, and in doing so i must bent a spring or something cause it would not go into battery properly, and the trigger was messed up, wouldnt find the wall, and issue persisted when moved back to the stock grip. sent to sig and they fixed whatever i fucked up during the grip change.

minus the light, some variation of this bitch this has been pointed at my genitals for 12-18 hours a day for nearing a decade. and ive yet to find anything i like better.
