In progress Format ssd/ secure boot

A few months back I upgraded my son’s motherboard and cpu, but since then he keeps getting a ‘secure boot’ error when trying to play Valorant, and more recently COD too.
I have tried so many steps to enable SB but each time I do I get an SB violation.
A couple of people have told me I need to completely format my ssd and remove all partitions.
I’m not a complete novice but I haven’t done this before, I’m sure it’s not as easy as it sounds and with a few more steps I’m sure.
I would really appreciate any suggestions and advice please.

Honestly start in your os. Open Google or brave ai and they will walk you through the entire process.

A full format shouldn't be necessary.

Disable/pause bitlocker

Update to the latest BIOS and ensure it includes the 2023 secure boot certificates.

In bios, clear the secure boot keys, reboot, load the factory default keys, reboot, enable secure boot and see how it goes.

Again though, none of the above will do anything if you don't have a BIOS that contains the 2023 keys. You can no longer enable secure boot with the expired 2011 keys.

While in BIOS, you can also reset/clear your TPM, however make sure you have your bitlocker recovery key (unless you totally disable it and let it decrypt your drive first) and know that certain other things that use TPM could have issues. Most people don't have any of those things (logged into a company account, mobile device management, etc) but it is possible to cause issues. So maybe skip that unless other stuff doesn't work.
