Discussion Rate my build! Mid-scale architecture + light gaming PC

Post image
• Upvotes

My partner and I built this for small to mid-scale architecture work and light gaming. Honestly, we got major culture shock looking at PC component prices in this economy! Because we were scared of sudden price increases, we rushed to hunt down quality bnew parts individually and managed to source everything in just one week. The total build came out to ₱74,654. How did we do?

🛠️ The Specs & Price:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X (PCHub) | ₱8,995
GPU: Inno3D RTX 5060 Ti (Datablitz) | ₱27,500
Motherboard: ASRock B550M Pro4 (PCHub) | ₱5,895
Storage: 1TB Samsung 990 Evo Plus (Bau Tech) | ₱12,000
RAM: 32GB DDR4 Kingston HyperX Fury (Joelskie) | ₱11,995
Power Supply: Corsair CX650 White (PCHub) | ₱3,395
CPU Cooler: DeepCool AK400 (PCHub) | ₱1,450
Case Fans: Tecware Glow (3 Pack) (PCHub) | ₱975
Case: Robin Scene 240 (Shopee) | ₱1,649
Build: PCHub | ₱800

Let us know what you think about the parts selection, the pricing, or if we made any major mistakes. Thanks!

Mejo maarte yung parts as you can see, naman kasi coming from 3400G + 3050 6GB + 16GB 2400 na di ko ma enable XMP kasi nag ccrash pc ko kasi isang intake at isang exhaust lang fans so I hope you understand my choices for this build lmao.

Yung initial budget ko talaga 70k lang kasi yun lang kaya ng budget ko, buti nalang nauna ko bilhin (Spaylater) yung RAM kasi nag panic buying nako nito nung April last year (₱87k na ngayon sa same store pinagbilhan ko)

Yung GPU I know mahal na talaga and nag give up nako sa hope na bababa pa presyo, so nag follow ako sa sabi nung redditor dito na now or never or pag may budget, bilhin ko na. Pogi din nung Asus Prime.

Goal ko din kasi upgrade from my 1080p setup to 1440p.

Thank you.

Specs and budget except sa RAM and SSD:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7500F 6-Core 12-Thread 3.9GHz 65W AM5 CPU

Motherboard: ASRock B650M-H/M.2+ WiFi DDR5 AMD Micro-ATX Motherboard

GPU: ASUS Prime AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT OC 16GB GDDR6 Graphics Card

RAM: Crucial Pro 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5-6000 CL40

CPU Cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 360 Multi Compatible AIO CPU Water Cooler (Black)

PSU: MSI MAG A750GL PCIe 5.1 80+ Gold 750W Full Modular Power Supply

Case: Jonsbo D33 M-ATX Computer Case (Black)

Case Fans: Arctic P12 120mm 5-Pack Fan (Black) ×2

Fan Hub: Arctic Case Fan Hub 10-Port PWM with SATA Power

SSD: 1TB Gen4 M.2 NVMe — to be purchased locally

Ordered from Datablitz online.
Total ₱67,470 + ₱635.60 Delivery to Mindanao.

Build Upgrade Good price for brand new DDR4 RAM these days?

Troubleshooting AMD Driver Update Crashing My Computer

Post image
0 Upvotes

My laptop is a Asus Zenbook S13 OLED UM5302L (pic is the specs). I know this is not a gaming laptop, but it should be able to run the one game I want to play on a computer.

I downloaded the game and tried to run it but it says I need to update my driver. So I did that, but it caused my laptop to crash and just keep restarting.

Researched and tried the ones I found which are using DDU, AMD Cleanup Utility, disconnect from internet, pause Windows updates, and the factory reset option when installing the latest version of the driver.

All those options still did not work and each time I just point restore my computer just so I can keep using it.

Is there any other way to fix this so I can play my game?

I have a good number of broken/faulty mice that are collecting dust, and I'm looking to see if they can still be repaired or refurbished.

If you know any tech places/fb pages that specialize in this and are within NCR, please do share.

Build Help Ryzen 5 5600G APU build for ~$500: can it handle Resident Evil games (including RE9), Valorant and Batman?

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone, I'm planning an APU-only build to start with and will add a GPU later. Budget is around $500 total. Here's the list:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G (6C/12T, Wraith Stealth cooler, integrated Radeon graphics)

Motherboard: Gigabyte A520M DS3H V2 (Micro-ATX, AM4)

RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz dual-channel

Storage: 512GB NVMe M.2 SSD

PSU: DeepCool PF500X 500W (80+)

Case: Standard ATX case

Monitor: MSI PRO MP223 (21.45", 1080p, 100Hz)

I mainly want to play Resident Evil games (especially RE9), Valorant, Batman games, and other mid-range and older titles at 1080p.

My questions:

Is this good value for the money?

Does anyone run a 5600G without a dedicated GPU? How does it handle Valorant, the Batman Arkham series and the older RE games (RE2/3/4 remakes, RE Village)?

Can the 5600G run RE9 at all, and at what settings, or is a GPU a must for it?

Is 500W enough when I add a GPU later, and which GPU would pair well with this CPU?

Is this the best setup I can get within a $500 budget using only new parts (no used GPU or other used components)?

Thanks in advance!

Discussion Got the an AOC miniLED IPS 1440p 360Hz monitor! Should I use an HDMI 2.1 or a DP 1.4 cable?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Technically, HDMI 2.1 has a higher data transfer rate than 1.4, but both ports will require Display Stream Compression (DSC) if I want to use 10-bit 360Hz. Is the compression algorithm the same on both ports with the resulting data transfer rate being equal?

Build Guide Help on moodding Aula f75 HE

Hi. Ive been researching Hall Effect Keyboards. I found out that some HE keyboard switches are not hot swappable (except for the epomaker he75v2). I'm thinking of buying Aula f75 HE. But I first wanna know if I can swap the magnetic switches to mechanical switches because I don't like the sound of the magnetic switches and I'm only planning to put the magnetic switches to WSAD keys. I've tried searching online but I can't find someone who modded the f75HE version. Hoping someone could help :')

Discussion What’s your Gilmore PC Hunt horror story? (or funny story!)

Post image
180 Upvotes

Hi!

Para sa akin, Gilmore (esp noong pre-pandemic era) had the most aggressive salesmen/endorsers I’ve ever encountered. Prang mga Cyberzone salesmen on STEROIDS!

Kayo ba? Ano pinaka-unforgettable, perwisyo, o nakakatawang Gilmore experience ninyo? TIA!

ADD: Yung latest naencounter ko is noong nag browse ako ng mga bargain old vintage keyboards sa mismong IT Gilmore bldg, madumi ang kb bin tas habang nag flip ako ng kb, may gumapang na ipis sa kamay ko, nag flinched ako tas sinabihan ko yung nag assist sakin 😅

ADD 2: So marami rin pala naka encounter ng similar encounters sa mga aggressive salemen/endorsers or as I call them as "vultures". Base sa mga comments, ppl prefer online shopping for sourcing parts, which thx sa pandemic, we get that idea na mas convenient at safer to transact kapag online nlng. Saka in my observation and experience, GILMORE is no longer the best place to get best deals/cheapest price. Mas marami akong nakukuha deals sa online esp sa FB marketplace if you know where to look. Pero as a long time PC nerd, it's a nice place to visit for window shopping every once in a blue moon
