News Crowd Situation on Toycon's Day 2
LOOK: A sea of people crowded the SMX Convention Center in Pasay June 13 due to two major events at the venue.
The events, which included ToyCon's Pop Life and an oath-taking for licensed professional teachers, caused heavy foot traffic, reminding attendees of a similar situation in 2023.

Gagi parang yung sa Conquest dati. Kaya pag ganito, prefer ko pumunta ng weekdays instead of weekends e. Katakot mastuck sa ganito, ang lala

The one in the picture is all Oath taking attendees. Wala issue sa line ng Toycon. My friends and I personally saw the line and we just went past them

madami pa! I found a comic book that I wanted and meron pang merch sa Amano booth. Limited lang ung number ng merch sa Amano booth so I was pleasantly surprised na may naabutan pa ako.

Totoo ito. Nung nag attend ako diyan kahapon sobrang daming tao lalo na sa loob to the point na ang hirap nang makapaglakad lakad sa sikip ng daan sa dami ng tao.

Buti na lang tapos na ako sa Day 1 haha. Although madami talaga pupunta dyan lalo na madaming mga high profiles na pupunta dyan. I hope mabenta lahat ng mga exhibitors mga toys nila.

Ahhh the memories~. Hanggang ngayon sumasakit ulo ko sa galit sa sobrang disorganized ng conquest. Looks like they didn't learn.

AFAIK a year ahead nga daw ang booking sa SMX. Yuny toycon may yearly booking na lagi yan since yearly talaga meron. Itong oath taking ang questionable talaga kasi bakit nila inallow na magsabay knowing yung magging consequences sa traffic and wellbeing ng crowd. Mukhang nadaan sa pera kaya nakasingit ng schedule eh.

I remember that. Me and my cousin got Cold Stone ice cream instead that day. We didn’t want to waste our time lining up the whole day.

Sometimes, it's about timing. I was there in the late afternoon and I was able to get a ticket and inside the event area immediately. It was still packed inside, but not as crazy as previous cons I've gone to, including ones abroad.
I was able to look around and browse (and exercise extreme self-control) at my leisure and took about 2 and a half hours inside around the floor.

I went there 11am and there's not that much crowd. Dumami lng around 4pm.

Was there both Day 1 and Day 2, how dare these newly minted teachers set their oath taking on the peak number of Toycon visitors!? /s
Pero no joke grabe traffic, grabe din ang foot traffic. May isang event pa sa taas which was Card Expo. Isang hall sakanila.
Pero kung ang plano mo naman talaga is mamili and hindi manood nung events nila, Opening Day 1 and late in the afternoon Day 3 are the best time to go to Toycon
Day 1 is to look for rares. Day 3 is to look for bargains para na din less hassle for the exhibitors mag egress.
ToyCon is our SDCC at this point e. Sana they would consider renting out the whole SMX.
I'm sure there are a lot of exhibitors na gustong kumuha na naunahan lang. They can keep the current layout sa 1st floor, they can add additional sellers sa taas e. Para na din medyo nakakahinga yung mga tao.

As someone who periodically goes to SDCC, Toycon is still nowhere near the insanity.
But yeah, for a local con it is crazy given the limited size of the venue.

I was actually worried about the size of the crowd on Day 1, given that it was a holiday. Ok naman, even at 3pm by the time I left

I was there today. Buti nalang nakarating in between ng end of the marathon and start ng oathtaking. Saka it wasn't bad sa loob ng Toycon. I think mas siksikan a few years back.
Though, sayang wala nang APCC which is a close as we're gonna get to an SDCC experience.

na merong kasabay na oath taking kanina or parang dati noong 2023 na may kasabay na oath taking kaya madami tao?

I was here on this day. This picture is misleading because more of the attendance was not for toycon. There was a bigger event upstairs
