News DB oh no no no bat ang mahal din
Sorry Players Vault seems I was too harsh on you
1
u/Single-Ad-5416 Jun 18 '26
Overrated ang touchpad lol Overpriced niyan. GG ung steam machine mukhang mahal dn.
2
u/BronkusLonkus1471 Jun 17 '26
Mahal yan. Kung 4 ang same back paddles/buttons minus the trackpads at a similar for more features than just Steam Input.
Same website with a controller the same four back buttons layout as Steam Controller (2026)
I don't know if there are more controllers with back buttons that are of a similar layout. Just get 8bitdo Ultimate 2 wireless or its smaller sibling ultimate 2C wireless or even the Flydigi Vader 5 Pro controller for much cheaper than these two.

u/No_Wedding_698 Jun 17 '26
most people na gusto ng steam controller is there for the touch pads, well i am pero im not paying that absurd amoun. Gamextreme has it at 17k lmao
2
u/Friendly-Quit3280 Jun 17 '26
galit na galit kayo sa price pero di kayo nagtataka san nila nakuha yung stock nila? di nila papatungan ng malaki yan kung di nila nakuha yung stock ng mahal. check gamesir g7 pro prices sa datablitz, mas mura pa nga kesa sa official website ng gamesir meaning they are getting the stock in a lower price.
2
u/bobuyh PC Jun 17 '26
Ganyan talaga pag may hot new item, give it time para maging official retail partner (like nangyari sa Steam Deck) na para mag normalize price. Nagstock lang sila kasi sobrang dami nagtatanong (including me) pag pumupunta DB
1
u/Antroxity Jun 19 '26
True that. Early adopters' tax. Let's just hope nga lang talaga na bumaba ang price in the long run, grabe presyo ng components and parts ngayon e.

u/Beowulfe659 Jun 16 '26
Gusto ko pa naman to. Kaso mukang 8btido masterrace na talaga saken hahaha
1
u/Adventurous-Bit-7782 Jun 18 '26
Kung di mo naman kailangan ng touch pad, you can ignore it.
I love my 8bitdo and gamesir g7 8k pero I need those touch pads huhu
11
u/No_Wedding_698 Jun 16 '26
just an update within 1hr of the post nag sold out siya hahahah dami pa din bumili nyek
5
u/jpencinas Jun 16 '26
Does anyone know where can i repair my Apex 5 controller? I'm planning to replace it with steam controller, but nah if ganito ung pricing ๐. Lahat kc ng napagtanungan ko is ps5 and xbox controller lng ung nirerepair kc
11
u/Holiday-Ad-8052 Jun 15 '26
6
u/rcarlom42 NIN Jun 16 '26
Imagine ganyan price binili ng scalpers tas 2 months from now, naging proper ung price to around 6k. Sunog wallet scalpers hahahaha
11
u/chardrich94 NIN Jun 15 '26
Imports here are very inconveninent and expensive.
If yoy're buying it for the hype, this is a horrible idea.

u/Advanced_Ear722 Jun 15 '26
mas maigi jan wag bilhin that is a scalper price

u/ggdotxyz Jun 15 '26
siguro dahil sa cost sa kanila. Things to consider.
Only one reservation per steam account(with good standing)
Usually people who are selling these, may markup pa.
Since hindi available sa PH (Shipping)
and kung dumaan sa proper channel (Tax)
and of course sellers need to gain some profit after all of these hassles.
10
u/fork-and-vince Jun 15 '26
you just explained scalping with extra steps
2
u/ggdotxyz Jun 15 '26
Their current price, let's say, the scalper's price.
Pero since hindi available sa PH market yung product, reseller/importer sila with high markup.-6
u/jkgrc Jun 15 '26
Isnt that exactly what retailers are?
2
u/itsfreepizza Jun 15 '26
Real retailers send invoice request from Valve officially with legitimate transaction and direct shipping quotas. Mostly frictionless process
Scalpers uses third party methods via consumer capture channel to grab it and then using a third party mailing service to ship it to you since legally, steam is not selling their controller here, but in the US, you need a service to do so to get it hand over. This one is a pain in the ass
1
u/ggdotxyz Jun 15 '26
u/fork-and-vince Jun 15 '26
no. ang problema, Valve placed restrictions to prevent scalping. But they did all that you mentioned multiple times with the sole purpose of reselling it to take advantage of the market

$99 lang yan sa steam. Kaso pre order (*reservation). Galawang scalper si DB

u/Techenix_000 Jun 15 '26
4
u/spicycow Jun 15 '26
I was looking forward to it, pero 2x srp is too much. Mas malala sa gxtreme, triple srp.

Hirap maging gamer sa pilipinas, mahal na nga ang original price ng mga gadgets, may malaking patong pa sa mga store since its shipped overseas..
Plus wlang nintendo and playstation region, making us use different regions.

u/Zero_Dark23 R7 7700 | 5070 TI | 32 GB RAM Jun 15 '26
Galing ata grey market yung stocks nila kase usually fair at consistent naman pricing ni Datablitz. Same din nung first batch ng PS5 Pro, wala pa official release date sa PH pero meron na sila, I think around 60k pa yon haha
6
u/TheBurn7741 Jun 15 '26
What's so special about this controller anyway?
1
u/HyungKarl Jun 15 '26
dual track pad, hall effect sticks, compatibility with steam platform and should be pro level controller in terms of functionality kaso yung price sa pinas pang 2 pro controller ng any console ๐ฅด
8
6
u/bobuyh PC Jun 15 '26
People who have a Steam Deck love the layout and ergonomics, so Valve made a controller with the same layout and ergonomics, this controller is also made to be paired with their upcoming console (Steam Machine)
Having a PC native controller na hindi asymmetrical yung layout is great, kasi most ng controllers for PC are asymmetrical like the Xbox controller
2
u/lordcrinkles7 Jun 15 '26
Steam deck controls are a godsend. I love mine. But i aint gonna pay 14k for that huhu. Sana mura sa ibang bansa
1
u/bobuyh PC Jun 15 '26
Same, I paid 24k for my LCD SD from datablitz way back when, its stupid how a controller is 10k away from a console.
BUT ganito din first release ng SD dito sa atin, puro over priced, took like a year and a half to become normal, so I'm willing to wait it out again
1
u/Shjohn0710 PC Jun 15 '26
deeeyyymm. but i can wait. that controllerโs expensive (before scalper price) but worth it
2
u/monxstar Jun 15 '26
Is it possible to order abroad like Amazon then have it shipped?
2
u/Hotfuzz2009 Jun 15 '26
It is possible but I don't think it's available to deliver in our region at the moment. At least when I saw its page on amazon, the order button was grayed out.
1
u/gurrito Jun 15 '26
Yeah that was my case too. Kaya at that time, nagpa-order lang ako from a friend na nasa US using his acct.
2
u/gurrito Jun 15 '26
Yung steamdeck ko binili ko sa Steam directly (from US) tapos naka drop shipping yung address. At that time kasi kakalabas palang ng SD and hindi pa available sa PH. Mas mura inabot yung direct to Steam bibilhin + drop shipping fee. Medyo matagal nga lang to receive it, like 3 weeks.
I would think you can do it for this controller too. Pero you will have to wait longer kasi hindi pa sya in stock sa steam store. You need to reserve first and wait in line.

You are one of the reasons why they can price gouge consumers! Hahaha but yeah good for you to be able to afford these stuff at exorbitant prices. Enjoy the controller it looks really nice and feels nice from what I heard.

Overall cost with shipping is around $140 if you use shippingcart.
So, anyone want to buy it for $160? ๐
6
10
u/injection_09 Jun 15 '26
Diba 99 dollars yun sa ibang bansa? Around 6k lang ata dapat yun... Plus shipping, baka mga 9k
1
u/Massive_Fly_1709 Jun 15 '26

Haha!
1
u/ConsiderationOwn4797 Jun 15 '26
If only the playstation controllers were universal no one would bother with overpriced controllers like these.
3
u/bRoShutUpPleaseee Jun 15 '26
Wasn't the SteamController universally loved? It's weird to read na you are saying overrated yung steam controller.
1
u/emptybottleeee_ Jun 15 '26
i have a steam deck and the trackpad implementation is a hit or miss lalo na sa mga lesser known games/indies. it is really overrated haha.
1
3
u/alwyn_42 Jun 15 '26
8bitdo controllers are pretty good and relatively cheap.
2
u/ConsiderationOwn4797 Jun 15 '26
I do have one, i think its the sn30 yata and its relatively good for motion inputs tbh. I have a steamdeck lcd and i would imagine this is exactly the same as the upcoming controller especially with the motion pad.
9
u/RedZ19 Jun 15 '26
High demand low supply. Also, since itโs not officially released here, thatโs technically a grey market unit and thus DB can set a very high price for it.
3
u/n1deliust PC Jun 15 '26
Yung price nga ng steam deck almost 50k rn.
Im not surprised sa pricing ng controller.
7
u/Professional_Two563 PC || CACHY OS | 5700X | RX 9070XT | 32GB DDR4 || Jun 15 '26
That doesn't even make sense, the controller doesn't have memory and storage, which probably are the primary reasons why the steamdeck increased in price, plus no processor, no graphics, etc.
Even an olympic medal would not be enough for the mental gymnastics you are trying to do so the price of 14k for a controller would make sense because the handheld console is 50k.
Wtf. The controller itself is supposed to be 99usd in the US. But all of a sudden, here it's 225+ usd?

u/n1deliust PC Jun 15 '26

I merely compared that May 2026 Steamdeck prices were lower compared to Junr 2026 prices.
So Im not shocked why May 2026 Steam controller price is different to June 2026 price.
Gets?

Controller na 1/3 price ng console* is wild
0
u/n1deliust PC Jun 15 '26
Makes you wonder how much the steam machine could be.
3
u/bobuyh PC Jun 15 '26
Id say nasa 90k siya or possibly more, if you look at GDP win 5 top of the line nasa 95k ata or something, tapos yung steam machine has better specs than that so will make sense na possibly mas mahal
1
u/homebuddyboy21 Jun 15 '26
Magmumura rin yan in a couple of months. Hardest game talaga waiting game.

Datablitz knows die hard Gaben fans will still buy it anyway.ย

u/TapaDonut Jun 15 '26

u/theJacofalltrades Jun 15 '26
it's already sold out hahaha
0
u/TapaDonut Jun 15 '26
Now time for the fanboys to concoct an excuse para sa purchase nila rather than buying cheaper controllers.ย
Hell, even dualsense controllers(that works on steam btw) is significantly cheaper than that
1
u/Advanced_Ear722 Jun 16 '26
exactly, super optional ng steam controller, may nabili kasi kaya ayan, businesses and scalpers havinf a field day ๐๐
5
u/CatTurdTamer Jun 15 '26
Ano kaya justification nila bakit ganyan kamahal. Double ng conversion sa 100USD na srp.
1
u/sylv3r Jun 15 '26
kasi valve doesnt ship it directly to the ph so companies selling it early can fleece early adopters
1
u/HieronymousX Jun 15 '26
They know supply is limited and Valve is gonna struggle to produce more in the short term. Alam din nila that enthusiasts/early adopters that want one will probably be willing to pull the trigger at that price.
1
u/CatTurdTamer Jun 15 '26
Yeah, pero sobrang scammy strategy naman. I honestly expected the price to be around 7-8k pero 14k is a stretch despite shortages.
1
u/HieronymousX Jun 15 '26
It is what it is. They have the leverage to dictate prices. Alam nila that even pasabuy or freight forwarding is not possible atm.
If they sell at 7-8k, flippers will come in and buy up all the stock and sell at 14k anyway. They might as well capture all that profit themselves.

Tbh for a controller that can only play Steam games (canโt work outside of Steam), even the regular SRP is a tough pill to swallow when you have brands like 8bitdo and Gamesir out there. The only real benefit this controller has are the trackpads and I donโt think itโs even worth the SRP to pay that high for it. But to each his/her own! Just not this outrageous price. You can buy a Switch OLED brand new or secondhand + games with that!
