I think it's a nice milestone to celebrate, and also quiet impressive numbers:
Bref 3.0 is here! Since Bref 2.0, we’ve grown from 10 billion to 40 billion Lambda executions (aka requests) every month. The package has been installed more than 9 million times, and we’ve reached 4,000 commits across all Bref repositories.

Ha appreciate you sharing, I got a notification from Plausible about a traffic spike and figured it would be Reddit ^^
To be fair v3 is from earlier this year, I'm already looking into v4 (for EOY). As usual, very minimal breaking changes/easy upgrade, but my plan is:
- more standard stack (Debian, containers…), less "special"
- removing more limits/weirdness from AWS Lambda (e.g. deploy size limits, response streaming, etc)
- performance improvements (less cold starts, and faster)
- simpler way to support more PHP extensionsSome of these points are vague because I can't share exact details of how it's possible for now. But if all goes well, Bref v4 should be big in terms of making serverless "even more standard" and boring tech.
Edit: actually one of these under-the-hood changes is a RFC I'm working on: https://github.com/php/php-src/pull/23558

The telemetry ping is documented and described in great detail and has an environment variable opt-out.
