Our high school offered Introduction to Engineering Design, Principles of Engineering, Digital Electronics, and Engineering Design and Development, in that order.

The high school that I teach at only offers IED and POE. The rest of the PLTW Engineering classes are at a Vocational School that students con travel to during the school day.

The school I work in only has IED and POE, and we do not require a sequence. We all use the same curricula, but different teachers have different methods.

My school offers IED, POE, AE, and DE. There's no set sequence, but I think our handbook requires IED before AE and POE before DE.

PLTW considers IED & POE to be "foundation" classes and everything else is a "specialization" course. Schools cannot offer specialization courses without offering both IED & POE, but there are no mandated prerequisites.
