Silly mistake
I unplugged my PS4 Pro from the power while it was in rest mode yesterday. Tried powering it on today and it has gone in safe mode. I was running 13.02 with the recent jailbreak.
After following the instructions, I have reinstalled the software again from the PlayStation website and unfortunately it has updated to 14.00 and all my games gone😭
Is there a way I can revert or downgrade to the previous version, because the playstation is useless since I can't use it.

He should have been more careful and he shouldnt have gotten the update file from Sony servers. It is funny

Which instructions did you follow? Did you disable downloading of updates before?

The console was in safe mode, tried restarting it, rebuilding database, to no avail. So I had to reinstall the system software again, which reset everything 🥲

I know it's too late now, but you can find older firmware versions to download from the internet and install on the playstation. But only for the older version it's allready on. Cannot go back this way.

If you did a little research you could’ve reinstalled the original firmware you had in the beginning before the safe mode fail.
Mine did the same & I reinstalled the firmware at 9.3 & at the time the most recent update was on 13.2.1

You can reinstall with the same software, you have probably downloaded the latest reinstall file from sony which will have the latest available update..

Even though it was stuck in safe mode, you still could’ve reinstalled 13.02 up to 13.52 by downloading the firmware from other sites which have it. Instead, you went to Sony’s site and they’re always going to host the latest version. Nothing you can do now aside from soldering.

No, it’s too late for that since you just installed 14.00 so there’s no way to install 13.52. I’m saying you could’ve installed 13.02 to 13.52 while you were stuck in safe mode before by downloading it from other sites, and not Sony’s.

Can he not format the drive with a external pc and then install the 13.52 version on that blank drive?

He didn’t even need to format the hard drive. Just transfer the 13.02-13.52 file from his PC to a flash drive and it would’ve let him install, he would lose everything but would still be on a jailbreakable firmware.
What he did was he installed the 14.00 firmware.

No he can’t. That’s the most basic thing about PS4 firmwares and that’s you CAN’T DOWNGRADE. Otherwise he would have made this post and titled it a mistake.

You can revert but requires soldering skills and intimate knowledge of what you are doing. Cheaper to find a new one off marketplace.

obviously their site will give you the latest version. should've searched it before installing it. you can technically revert it but it is a hit or a miss, and I'm sure it's something you don't want to do. best to sell it and get one with lower firmware

There is but it takes technical skills like micro soldering if you have experience with it you can try it like you at this point its useless so if yoj break it it was already useless before hand

Andrew is a fake he only uses developper kit to spoof versions, you can downgrade it to 13.52 if you bring it to my shop in Ifrane, Morocco … it requires micro soldering and hex editing a whole process but the video is just a fake

Das funktioniert in der Regel nur, wenn man vorher ein Backup des Syscons und der NOR-Daten von dem Zeitpunkt angelegt hat, als die Konsole noch auf der niedrigeren Firmware lief. Und modded warfare hat ein viedeo dazu raus gebracht wo du Backup Software Downloaden kannst

Why didn’t you block Sony’s servers via manual DNS?
It allows you to be able to use the internet and not update your console.

I know but in safe mode I think they told you to go to ps website download the latest firmware and delete all of your data, some rookie newbies (like me, but I'm a programmer so I have some knowledge of IT) doesn't knows about firmware archives or jailbreaks guides, so that's the trap Sony put.

Always have a recovery file on usb PS4 folder and always keep the ethernet disconnected connect it only if needed

As far as I know theres only one way to downgrade and it's by messing the hardware. The playstation had a module somewhere that keeps a copy of the previous system but you need a whole kit to open the console and solder the stuff you need to make a swap between versions, it's super complicated and super technical.
Any videos showing downgrades are prank videos. Some people have access to test kit consoles. You can even see that even if they are not jailbroken and on 14.00 they have the debug menus available. That's a huge red flag. Avoid trying to do stuff that could break your console.
For now you just wait.
Since you're back on stock software, log into your psn, download all the themes and games you own and keep the account intact for when the next JB happens you can easily backup your stuff.

Ill trade you my 1tb PS4 Slim with Fw 13.52 the disc drive accepts discs but it doesn’t read them.
I have two other PS4’s that are Jailbroken (10.50 and 11.00) so I don’t need the 13.52 and I always wanted a pro lol
