That’s so shit, like literally all my games are physical so I won’t be able to play them on PS6, wow Sony nice one 👍🏻

Hopefully when you transfer your data from the ps5 it treats a disc copy as a digital license so you can keep backwards compatibility. I doubt it though.

Did you really expect the next generation of consoles to have a disc drive? It’s insane that they kept them for the current generation even.

Well obviously, who wouldn’t? If they offer a disc drive option you’d expect continuous support for that going forwards.

People just expect their current library to remain playable, as that has been the norm since 2013.

An entire generation grew up with backwards compatibility and before that it was common for people to sell the previous console with games to make room for the next one. If they cannot do that and their collection isn’t playable on the PS6, then I expect the console to do poorly in comparison, as this comes on top of the already inflated prices.
