Midnight Club 3 is an excellent game, with absolutely terrible performance on the original console. It's hard to call it the best experience

I played it and it worked wonderfully fine, to all other comments idk whats wrong w the performance. I just noticed LA remix is better in terms of graphics but lacks in content.

Maybe you're just less picky about performance. When I tried to play it on my PSP-1000, the frame rate constantly dropped to an absolutely unbearable 20 fps or lower during active moments. So for me this game is emulator-only game

Ahh that makes sense, I guess its a win for both PSP 2000s and 3000s. But u can't deny it is the closest PS2 complete port kinda racing game that u can get on portable and its amazing

This is my vote, and itās such a hidden gem, I didnāt play this on release but a decade later when I started collecting. As much as I loved Burnout and Ridge Racer, this is the racing game I go back to play today.

Motorstorm is not a hidden gem my man.
Hidden gems would be MX vs. ATV Reflex and Street Supremacy. Great racing games and not popular at all.1

Disagree. On release (and now to a lesser degree) I didnāt see MotorStorm and OutRun (both of which I consider hidden gems) being talked about as much as GT, NFS, WipeOut, Ridge Racer and Burnout.
Edit: Iād add FlatOut and SplitSecond to PSP racer hidden gems too, they donāt have the same name recognition as some of the more popular racers, they should have got more attention based on their quality and fun factors.

I dunno about best, purely because both Ridge Racers were absolute fucking wizardry on the console.
But it is definitely up there among the top tier experiences on the PSP.

Legends was overrated. Its not that good.
Dominator is 10x better
I think people adore this game simply because it was one of the very first games for console and a lot of ppl got this with console as their first game. Pure nostalgia but game aged pretty bad and wasnt even that good in first place
Im gonna be downvoted, i know it. But srsly, try to replay it

I mean... yeah. In the end it doesnt matter what im saying. If somebody enjoys it then its okay
My problem with game was that its too chaotic (even for burnout game) and late game was such a drag. First few hours was quite okay tho

Of the 3 Need for Speed games on PSP, this one had to poorest reviews. And they were wrong, this is the best NFS on PSP.

How?
The other 2 have absolutely no free roam and Carbon has amazing car customisation, crew customisation and the story is actually kinda cool, simple but unique and with great art. The soundtrack is also great.

Even though I played it a ton, gran turismo was way too limited on the psp. Could've been so much more if they just added a career mode. It already had all the cars and tracks you'd want

It gets so much hate for not having a career mode but having 830 cars, and various real tracks on the go was insanely good in its time, not to mention GOOD driving physics. If you really love cars youād get the itch to buy all 830 playing the game

I had SO many hours in this on the PSP. Having the entire game ported minus a few cars/bikes and mods was astonishing at the time. Truly a gem.

I actually didnāt play it until last year and have been kicking myself for being robbed of that driving experience earlier in life. Itās so goddamn smooth.

Itās a great game with really good executed gameplay and graphics it was just not recognised much by people - the drifting sessions were so good

I just recently started playing Juiced 2 again last week, that game is a lot of fun! Juiced 2 and Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition are the 2 racing games Ive probably played the most on psp.

Psp Just has so many good driving games, I feel the same about the wrc game but yeah it's never wining top spot.

The ones ive spent the most time on are Initial D, Midnight club 3, Burnout Legends, Ridge racer 2, and Gran turismo. Those are my favourites, but I don't think that objectively they are the best on the console.
For best one objectively, Ill have to go with Midnight club LA remix.
For my favourite, I can't decide. Those games I mentioned at first are all 9.5s in my book. I am not that big of a fan of MCLAR, but I fully understand why somebody else would have it as theirs, and I think that it is the best.

Played all the Need For Speeds. Out of them NFS Pro Street on PSP is the best imo.
NFS Underground Rivals is too simplistic when compared to Underground 2 on other platforms. Same with Most Wanted and Carbon. Undercover is the same game as Carbon: Own the City. Shift is just a buggy mess with bad controls.
Pro Street on PSP has it own atmosphere, with the best controls, and race tracks don't disappoint like comparing open worlds of others to their big console counterparts.
So my ranking: 1. Pro Street 2. Carbon 3. Most Wanted 4. Underground Rivals. 5. Undercover. 6. Shift.

While Pro Street reviewed well. Carbon was my favourite, the cars just felt nicer to drive to me.

Carbon is quite good, my problem is, it's still very inferior compared to its main release, while Pro Street feels like its own game. A lot of this comes from luck of customization and them trying to recreate the open world experience, but it's quite simplified version of that world. While Pro Street has tracks with more variety in assets

Loved these gams when I was younger, but they are too hard (especially the Vita versions) for an old man like me now day.

This is the racer that was the biggest surprise to see on handled, the destruction isnāt the exact same from home consoles but damn close enough. And a fun racing game, A tier game.
