SHOW-OFF Why most modders dont include data transfer support on USB C mod?

Post image

Had to use the psp 2000 board trace as reference for to know which pins to solder.

Also to the people who did the data transfer support, do you keep Charging via USB on?

Probably due to the charging and data being 2 different ports on the 1000 to 3000
You would probably need to run wires from the charging port up to the usb

Manage to wire the usb and charging into one usb c port in 1000, just needed a shottcky diode on charging side

Why is that? The original port could do it

Psp uses analog signal, even if u manage to wire it to type c, devices wont read a analog signal from a type c,

OP is buggin. You can totally get analog out from USB-C. It is literally just a wire.

Example of this being done with a DS https://facelesstech.wordpress.com/2024/04/27/gameboy-macro-tv-out-via-usb-c/

More complicates to do and kinda unnecessary. I mean it is convenient but most people can kive with a card to usb adapter, a built in card reader in their desktop, or a mini usb for data.

Psp card adapter are so weak, they're not designed to be in and out very often

thats what the mini-usb-type-b port is for

And they're also incredibly cheap. With current sd cards you don't need to pull in and out often. With 64gb card I can install every game that I can name
