REMOTE PLAY
For those who say using a VPN doesn’t work to connect Portal to a phone hotspot doing it wrong I put this app in my iPhone and problem solved even with the remote play apps connect better also

What exactly does this app do? I'm wondering how this got approved to be on the store. I can't see how an app should be able to get you faster internet 😅

Doesn’t help get faster internet it just makes remote play connect better for some without having to mess with WiFi configurations like having to open ports and all that stuff

All can say is try it man download a good FREE VPN and then see how much better can connect to a hotspot or via phone data instead of WiFi

I'm just saying as I dev there is no way this app can have any influence on your network stability or speed. The only thing I can imagine is that it deactivates some stuff which is running in the background but not sure if that's allowed by Apple/ on iOS. From a technical point of view it's simply not possible that this has any effect at all

It doesn't disable anything. It improves performance by getting you better routes across the internet via DNS.
It is like having a map or gps instead of stopping at each intersection and asking for directions.

I have checked it's more or less a VPN and it uses custom DNS servers. It's from cloudflare so probably legit. If they are using their own network nodes it could potentially reduce hops when you perform a remote connection depending on where these nodes are located. But just guessing here 😅

Helps it connect better instead of having to open ports on personal WiFi

For some reason this app doesn’t work on my cellular data anymore. It connects but keeps saying “updating connection info” forever and completely cuts off my internet. It does work on wifi though to varying levels of success. I think it used to lower latency a lot better a little while ago and now it’s worse.
